1) Budtz proved tonight he is better than ALB
2) Turner can organise a defence
3) He dropped Foley from the 16.

It's an easy game isn't it?

Budtz for me had one of his best games for us. Not a lot to do but what he did was confident enough.
Defence never really troubled but Nelson also had a good game
At last someone can see Foley is not good enough for this league.

Take into account Southend were pretty poor.

But overall a very enjoyable match

Well done Tubby!!! rolf rolf rolf

Cant disagree, except i think its Budtz who should take the credit for organising the defence... surely he must keep his place.

2 clean sheets in 3 games says it all really, rather then one in god knows how long.

Concurring fully. Where are all those who used to call him "cockfingers"?

Nowt to do with atrocious weather conditions?

We played some quality one-touch stuff tonight despite the conditions. Can't really fault the midfield imo

I dont think anyone in the midfield did anything wrong, it's just that the centre 2 are both defensive players.
Id rather see Rowell, whose a bit more forward thinking, given a run in there... and id choose Clark over Liddle every time.

Nice to hear that Nelson had a good game. Is he back to previous form.

He's the lesser of two evils but he still isn't good enough, I'm not having people starting to go on like the bloke is a good goalkeeper he's just better than the atrocious one we've been watching all season.

How long ago is it since Dimi imploded against Wrexham?

collins and nelson are too alike - that's why the centre of defence looks steadier with Ben Clark in there - but Clark is playing well in the middle at the moment. Hope the injury is just a slight strain.

Ian Butterworth seemed to be yelling instructions at the defence throughout the game last night - with Turner directing the rest. These two put as much effort in in the technical area as those on the pitch!!

two weavils were fighting over a piece of bread, then they were stopped by a cockroach, who gave the bread to the smallest weavil.
"What did you give it to him for,"? said the big weavil
"Cos he's the lesser of two weavils"
