3565 on Friday.

2434 at Darlo.

Darlo will have a sub 2000 crowd at some point this season I'm sure. Especially when they bottle it in the last few months as per

I reckon just over 4000 on Friday, a lot of the exile support will be in town for Chrimbo so it might boost things a bit.

My first game of the season, so really looking forward to it! rolf

Is there any point to this?

You're obviously pretty thick if you think I was having a go at you in the thread you have just started (which was a typically negative story about Hartlepool) I wasn't. It was the reference to 'Teesside town' which we aren't and never will be in my mind. Anyway you should of brought that up in that actual thread and not railroaded this one with your shit craic.

I reckon just over 4000 at Pools creating a belting atmosphere due to a lot of people having been out for the most of the afternoon after breaking up from work and being pretty bladdered by the time they get to the match. (We're open at 12 by the way clappp Please drink responsibly confised ).

Less than 2100 at the Stadium of Space on Saturday. rolfl

It was County Durham once - unbelievable now, like Middlesbrough use to be East Riding of Yorkshire and Bournemouth was in Hampshire.

I didn't know it was in Durham once until my uncle, who supports Durham CCC, said that's why he supported Durham growing up in West Hartlepool - I thought people wouldn't be interested in Durham Cricket because Hartlepool's now in Cleveland.

Not it's not. It's a unitary authority and is part of Durham for ceremonial purposes. Cleveland doesn't exist now. So you are wrong. Again.

we pay our loan player his salary - not 10% of the salary as is the case in SEVERAL of your deals.

This (from the same song) is more appropriate for us Poolies like.

In this proud land we grew up strong
we were wanted all along
I was taught to fight, taught to win
I never thought I could fail

This may come as a surprise to you but Yorkshire once came in three flavours - the North, West, and East Ridings. The West Riding was the eeh bah gum riding, the East Riding was the I do like to be beside the seaside riding, and the North Riding was the one covering the northern part of the county.

That's why Middlesboro was in the East riding.

P.S. part of Hartlepool's boundary being the Tees estuary, it's a hard argument to convince
outsiders we aren't in Teesside. What scrambled the eggs was the forming of an actual county borough of Teesside in 1968.
It didn't last very long, but it did last long enough to define Billingham as being in Teesside and Hartlepool as not.

Don't worry, though, Wikipedia is on our side: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Teesside

For those saying we will get less than 2,000 on Saturday - we won't. I don't think we've had a sub 2,000 crowd in the league since 1998.

Its going to be a poor crowd alright, possibly beating our lowest at the Arena of 2,414 because I can't see Barnet bringing more than 70, but in that instance we'd need to drop to less than 1,930 home fans.

Our Saturday attendances have been.....

Exeter 3,559 (604 away, 2,955 home)
Gillingham 2,831 (208 away, 2,623 home)
Port Vale 3,040 (200 away approx, 2,800 home)
Accrington 2,814 (55 away, 2,759 home)
Shrewsbury 2,899 (150 away approx, 2,750 home)
Dagenham 3,070 (79 away, 2,993 home)
Lincoln 3,534 (447 away, 3,087 home)

We've lost approximately 800 fans and approximately 800 off the average gate this season, as I suspect Pools have, due to one price hike too many, credit crunch etc, the facts are there, but I can't see us dropping yet another 7-800 on top of that this Saturday, thats a hugely substantial percentage of 2,700-3,000 home fans.

No chance of a sub 2,000 gate on Saturday.

Could well be in the low 2,000's though, Rochdale only got 2,200 last weekend with 200 away fans.

Quakers, we got 3,125 tonight wiith 123 from Southend. And our fans had to pay between £18 - £20. Beat that.

Does anyone actually like Friday night games? We dont seem to get more fans and it spoils the weekend.

Am I alone in thinking its so management/staff and players get weekend off?? Especially those who live out of town?

Do they have a choice whether to play on Friday or Saturday sctatchinghead

Attendance tonight was pathetic. Even considering the weather and christmas.

People complain about the lack of money put into the actual team, but with attendances like that at league 1 level we dont stand a chance. I doubt you'd get a decent player for this league for less than £100,000.

Its the clubs choice to play so many Friday night games and I see no reason why we have so many.

I like Friday night games. I would normally hit the pubs afterwards and make a night of it but i'm off to watch The Sex Pistols Experience tomorrow, followed by some split-bothering in the Church St area.

Tonight got me proper buzzing. A great start to the weekend!
