Pools have been known to give managers "rolling contracts"

That can be for a year then possibly extended for a period of time.

Let's say Wilson had been on a rolling contract, he given a year, then with us winning promotion another year.

At the end of last season Wilson is then given only a 6 month contract (once more a rolling contract)

Danny Wilson joined Pools as manager on the 13th June 2006

He departed on the 15th December 2008,almost 6 months to the date that he may have signed a 6 month rolling extension to his contract.

End of contract, end of employment, and NO COMPENSATION to pay.

Just a theory.

Isn't the point of a rolling contract that you always have 6 months left on your contract (i.e. it rolls over every day?).

The use of the word indeed, is the work of a wannabe wind up merchant, but obviously not a very good one. As wind up merchants go, the perpertrator of the word "Indeed" is not a particularly good example to follow. Infact it makes the follower of this original poster seem a bit of an arse.

Another theory is that as Pools dont have a proverbial pot to piss in, they sack Wilson, appoint Turner, thus saving a managers salary

Unless they have to pay a contract up, in which case there would be no saving.

I don't recall IOR ever revealing the nature of D. Wilson's contract. A rolling contract though is the easiest one to get out of. Length of contract = notice required. As for a one-year or even two-year rolling contract, there's just no point.

it's a private affair between employee and employer, would you want your wages splashed all over the internet....and if you did know just what are you gonna do about it ....sit there rubbing your chin and 'pondering' ...what a load of pointless speculation over nothing.
