Was made yesterday, whilst travelling to Hereford.

A discussion was being held about our forthcoming game against Stoke. I said we would win, the tie whether it in first game a replay or on penalties. A mate offered me odds, 10/1 were the original odds.

I asked for better, to which he replied. Put a minimum of £10 on and what odds would you want.

I replied well if put £10 on would want 25/1, to which in front of witnesses he replied ok but you have give me money now as if gone to bookmakers.

£10 note took out of wallet odds of 25/1 given.

I may lose a tenner but hey I wouldn't get anywhere near 25/1 from Ladbrokes, Corals or any other bookmaker.

Come on POOLS

you would have been prudent to take the 10/1.

25/1 is simply stupid beyond belief, and the guy who offered you it has shiit for brains.

if i had to price it up now based on one of the 2 teams to progress it would be :

stoke 1/5

pools 9/2

and that will be pretty much how the bookies will price it up.

Those prices probably about right I would said 5/1 ,11/2 for Pools so I have to take the 25s. He hasnt got shiit for brains just cant see us winning thats all. While me on the other hand just couldn't turn down them odds.

On form he looks good to take your tenner but this is Pools and anything can happen worth the plunge Fetish.

in a two horse race I fail to see how the odds can be so high - as we all know if the favourite falls then the other horse only has to finish the race (in this case a couple of decisions go our way and they have a man sent off - then the bet's on).
