With United still having to pick up the wages of long-term loan casualties Bruno N’Gotty and Matt Murray, the Bulls could do with a good following through the turnstiles to boost their finances.

But Hereford already have the lowest average gate in the division and, with Christmas approaching, few Hartlepool fans are likely to make the long trip down from the North-East.

“With all respect to Hartlepool, they are not that well-supported a club,” said United boss Graham Turner

What the fck??!!

No doubt Turner will be basing his opinions on the dubious fact, that like most pundits, their view of Pools is based on the old struggling team we were for most of our excistence pre IOR, ... shaking off your past and the baggage that goes with it isn't all that easy .... even after 10 years.

I just can't understand why a League 1 club would be looking at the away end in respect to whether they can bring new players in and then having the audacity to knock our support when their own is totally pitiful. At the start of a season you can probably guess within a thousand or so of how many people you'll have through the turnstiles and you budget accordingly.

Has he maybe thought about targetting the people of Hereford to provide the money for his purse strings instead of the supporters of a mid-table team 250 miles away with an abysmal away record less than two weeks before Christmas in the middle of a credit crunch? Now, I'm no Peter Jones but I reckon that should be a businesses first port of call.

I really can't get my head round his comments. I really hope we stuff them now and he gets sacked just in time to ruin his Christmas.

Surely that is there own stupid fault then, they should send them back to their clubs and save the wages

If you have players on half season or season long loans I don't think you are allowed to send them back

He's the chairman isn't he? and i'd guess finances are tight considering they barely get over 3000 each home game.
I've always thought we had a decent relationship with Hereford barring the near riot in the f.a. cup about 5 years ago

If there's one manager who'll never get the sack from the chairman it's him.
He IS the chairman!!!!

So maybe if he's pointing at us, it's just one of those little distractions to avert prying eyes from their own 'achievements' this season?

today was a big result for us - we simply could not afford to lose to them. Up to now we haven't lost to any of the teams in the mire, so two draws against Yeovil and Hereford are not disastrous, as they keep those sides at arms length from us.

And that comment above is a true sign of how good we are and our expectations for this season under this manager. sadx
