his new Xmas song which if it wasn't for Take That would surely WALK to Number One this Xmas (It's on The One Show tonight).

That song is not brilliant but it is soooooooooooooo catchy that you find yourself humming it in your head after you have heard it

Do people still look out for christmas number one?

Over the last 4-5 years it's just been someone from x-factor so it hasn't even been a contest.

It's not even about the song they bring out either.

They could fart in a bucket, record it, slap it on a cd, and it would get to number one, cos there from the x-factor.

I'm sooooooo glad I don't know who anyone off the x-factor is, I could name you every single character off lazytown, dora, peppa pig and diego mind, so i guess thats equally as sad.

Agreed, Christmas Number One was previously only ever won by top class artists until X Factor came long. Suchas Bob the Builder and Mr Blobby.

at the risk of being called a pedant, take that have about as much chance of being the xmas number one as i do.

the x-factor winner, for whom the xmas number one slot is normally reserved, will almost certainly top the charts, tho they may have difficulty dislodging the lady who is currently number one.

apparently she shifted more copies of her single via downloads in 2 days, than anyone else has ever managed in a week.

Wogan & Jones for No1, with Little Drummer Boy, thats the word on the street

With a cover of Leonard Cohens Hallelujah

The Pogues were great last night,Shane Macgowan seemed to be fitter than he has been for years.

Music Lovers, Jools Holland and his Orchestra last night at the City Hall....absolutely FANTASTIC gig, it was like 5 gigs in one night in fact.

Firstly..major shock to my delight...lights go off, support act shuffles on...CHRIS DIFFORD!!!

Blasts through half a dozen Squeeze classics and his new Xmas song which if it wasn't for Take That would surely WALK to Number One this Xmas (It's on The One Show tonight).

Then....Jools and his band featuring Rico Rodriguez, the fantastically fat Ruby Turner and the brilliantly camp Marc Almond...

2 solid hours worth!!

Mutley seemed to enjoy it too. clappp

I can fully concur with the above!!!! clappp clappp

Just got back in the house!!!!

A great night and like Mr.Elvis said....it was like going to 5 different gigs with all the different styles of music been played!!!! clappp clappp
Only downside for me....I couldn't be arsed waiting to get some photos when they came out....(I only waited 5 minutes like confised )....but I did get a Jools Holland T-Shirt!!!! :coool:

Fantastic night!!!! clappp :coool:

PS....Did you spot my Pint of John Smiths in the air???? sctatchinghead
