Great Single!! I bought it in the 70's as I'd never heard the follow-up to Telstar..If I recall it was 5p (or maybe 2 1/2p!) at a jumble sale in Park Road.

I've always been a great fan of Joe Meek's music and productions, especially the Tornados since their first single "Love and Fury", so named as they were formed to back the late Billy Fury. I've got all the singles and ep's on Decca and even the later ones , still called the Tornados but with no original members left, the very later stuff, on one of the EMI owned labels.
Clem Cattini, the original drummer and longest serving member of the band played on many sessions, playing on something like 50 number ones. He played on all the Kinks singles and albums. Despite having suffered a heart attack a while back and being a fair old age now he still does gigs as the Tornados.
Interestingly the band and Joe didn't make much from Telstar as they'd been sued by a French composer who said he'd written something sounding similar, whereas no one said anything about Globetrotter which sounded uncannily like 'Venus in Blue Jeans'.
There's a film of Joe Meek's life due to be released next year.
