Lee Clark New Huddersfield Manager

Lee Clark has just been announced as Huddersfield manager. bit of a gamble, but i suppose everyone has got to start somewhere.

I know certain poolies keep droaning on about sacking wilson. would they be happy if Hodcroft brought in someone like this?

I doubt they would be happy though very few were happy when Cooper got the job or Newell.

i think if we ever bring in another young manager it should be paul stephenson. I thought he handled a difficult situation here very well and had us playing some decent stuff at times. Would need the right number 2 though. Someone nasty lol

Stevo aquired less points than scotty, i think his reign was a disaster.

Stephenson was a disaster for Pools. We should have got an experienced man in to get results by hook or by crook. We didn't and the club got what it deserved. Unfortunately the fans didn't deserve any of it.

It should have been Turner or an experienced man.

my memory is terrible then. He wasnt exactly in much of a position to do anything like. His hands were completely tied in a side with no confidence. We had no strikers. If i remember rightly we played well at times just struggled to score. I think he will prove one day to be a good manager

Your right he could be one day, but clearly wasn't ready for the step up then and everyone knew it.

Yes his hands we're tied, but let's not forget it was still a squad that 6 months previously had got to cardiff in the play-off final.

So it still had quality.

yes but lets not forget that the two main reasons for us getting to the playoffs were both injured and only started getting fit when it bordered on being too late. Plus the squads attitude and confidence had been destroyed by that prick scotty.

I wonder if stevo gets moved to roeders number 2 at norwich now?

When are we getting them loan players from them anyway?
