I'm off and bored so might venture down.

But it's a fiver.

I might boycott it.

Team is: Cook, McCunnie, Blackford, Byrne, Clark, Power, Young, Ellison, Tymon, Foley, Rowell Subs: Sharples, Marron, Mason, Martin, Thomas

That starting XI is better than last Saturdays!!

Save your money, you'd see a better game at the headland gym tomorrow.

Is it free for season ticket holders? What time kick-off?

No. 2pm. Get in early though, this could sell out.

Just read it on official site. The game is NOT free for season ticket holders. They haven't got a clue have they? £5? FFS.

If it was £5 to watch the next first team game I'd still have second thoughts after the last few showings.

You assume wrong. I'm off today and would have gone but not for a fiver. As a season ticket holder I should get in free.

Its because it is a cup game apparently - therefore season ticket holders still have to pay...

If it had been a league game, I would have gone. It just so happens my days off during the week are pretty random. Another reason not to renew my season ticket I'm afraid.

It's just one less incentive John.

I agree, basically if you want to go and watch the reserves you'll go whether its free or whether you have to pay £5. If you aren't bothered about going then you will come on here and whinge about having to pay to go to something you wouldn't normally attend anyway.

I don't attend reserve games as i'm normally to busy and billingham is a bit more of a trek for me, the fact that it is at the vic would have meant i would have gone today regardless of with my ST or paying £5 but i have a week off work and i'm using it to spend some quality time with my son who i normally only see on a weekend and that involves picking him up from school which means they clash.

TPP (and whoever else goes) enjoy the game, OO stop whining about something you are clearly using as an excuse to jump on the bandwagon and have a pop at pools about.

Rant over.

Wrong. I am off for a change and would have gone. It's just before pay day and I don't have a spare fiver. It would have been nice if I could have got in for free as a season ticket holder.

I can spare you 10p for a cup of tea if things are that bad.

i stopped going to the ressie games regularly when they moved them to seaham, changed them to daytime kick offs, and i got a proper job.

all of which happened at pretty much the same time.

i go as and when i can these days, and cant recall ever seeing anyone paying to get in.

most of those in attendance are hangers on e.g. those loosely connected with the pools in the community scheme, scouts, local non league managers etc, or season ticket holders i.e. die hard regulars.

ive never understood why cup games are exempt from free attendance for season ticket holders. in my experience the standard doesnt suddenly get any better, and nobody takes it any more seriously.

ive no idea why pools would charge a fiver to get into a meaningless game such as this. if i was off work it would deffo put me off going, as it did with the ressies cup game against the mags, and the kids fa youth cup game against carlisle. it may not make a difference to thornley but to someone like me on 11k a year a fiver is an hours pay.

anyone who has been to a ressies game on a december afternoon knows theres not much fun in it. its a labour of love really, showing support and encouragement to kids coming through the ranks. its deffo not something i would pay good money to freeze my nads off and endure.

i cant remember when it went up from 3 quid to a fiver, but it must have been fairly recently. thats nearly a 70 per cent increase. totally bonkers imho, cos the main target audience is gonna be folk on the dole.

Great post by the way chip.

I have decided to boycott.

Well I have decided not to go.

Shockingly Fetish Bob would rather put his decorations up in his dungeon than watch a game of football.

I'd have gone if it was free and someone else I knew was there but I'm not sitting on my tod watching Pools when I can sit at home and watch that David Dickinson auction programme for nowt!

You people must be bored today discussing a reserve game to such extent.
