if he passes the fit-for-ownership criteria to buy a football club, I'll eat the Christmas tree, decorations and all.

If you discount Hereford, there is and should be only one HUFC - we should makes sure we trademark it before Hereford or bloody Chester get their mitts on our identity. rage

That might just be the most sensible thing I've ever read from you!

Well, it's only common sense, isn't it?

I mean Hereford hardly use their initials - if Chester - Harchester start using HUFC, us and them might get confused...and while I liked what I saw from the Sky One drama, I don't want that to happen.

Poor buggers if they get renamed to "Harchester United Football Club"

All they need next is Karl Fletcher up front and it'll be like the real thing... rolfl

P.S The Wags in that TV Series were quality

he tried to buy Mansfield but they told him to f-uck off as well. He's just an attention seeking c-unt. He was the one who ruined York City and tried to turn their ground into houses without giving them a replacement ground (he wanted them to move to Ryedale York Rugby ground which was nowhere near good enough for League Football).
He deserves to die.

Yes he sounds like a loon, and yes he's taking it to the extreme with his answers, but he's very right on one of his answers....

"You’ve only got to look at the high street and look at Woolworths for example. It’s been there 99 years. It won’t be there next year because it’s had its day. Chester City is the same thing. Not enough people turn up at that club every other Saturday to maintain that particular brand."

Times they are a changin'.

But people are getting it arseaboutface.

The reason that clubs appear unsustainable is the silly money being paid to players and agents. Not only does this alienate fans it also screws up the balance sheet.

A rugby league style wage cap in each division is the way to go if we want to retain the four division structure that we currently have.

The Premiershit clubs are like todays big supermarkets, offering an allegedly better experience and putting the small shops out of business because the average shopper is bone fooking idle ..... they offer an high profile product and are household names... they won't be happy till all the little ones are gone and the big ones can share out the spoils.
In future, if you want to see live footy, you'll have to join the waiting list for a season ticket at your local Premiership team and while you wait you can be a subscriber to their TV Channel and buy their club shop goods on line ..........."did we really have a football team years ago granda?"
