Is in the country and doing a tour in the new year. Any one aware of a good venue to see Bogle the legend. He's on in Elsemere Port but I don't think the venue does justice to his talents so looking for an alternative.

I'll keep an eye out.
What would count as a good venue?

Small theatre like the community theatre in Saltburn. I'd guess it'll be impossible to get into the Davy Lamp to see him so somewhere thats ticketed then at least you know if you're going to get in.

Yes he's alive and Waltzing his Matilda. Got to see him this time cos I guess he is getting on a bit and you don't know when his last tour will be.

I'd look forward to a trip to the NE to see him Miss Grabey if your up for it. Maybe it could be a Bunker special.

The Folkies know who I'm talking about. He's written some of the most breathtaking songs a lot of them about soldiers and their sacrifices. I know they should've thought of that when they joined up but Eric Bogle sums it up in his songs.

He's only 64, Mr H. That's younger than some of the posters on here.

His current tour is called 'One Last Kick At The Cat' so that sounds a bit final. He's on in Ellesmere Port in July so obviously thats when he's in the country so it's dates for venues around then. The gigs on his website only go up until the end of 2008.
