For couple weeks, groin injury , reason why he was substituted today.

Perhaps Wilson should have done what Scott did when Boyd signalled he was injured, and told him to run it off. Resulting in him being out longer than necessary.

The way the decision was booed, you would think the vast majoruty of the crowd hadn't noticed him limping. Then limp off and finally limp straight down to the dressing room.

It was an obvoius substitution, nothing to do with the way he had played.

He was struggling in first half too, was quite obvious he was injured, bar those booing.

I think the booing was for foley coming on, when Monkhouse was sat on the bench. I know Monky aint a forward but he would have still been more productive than Foley.

Not really, at least he adds some interest to the board without being blinded by misplaced loyalty and rose tinted specs. It would be boring as hell on here if it was left to all you old farts kissing the clubs arse at each and every opportunity

I thought immediately when I heard the booing at the end of the game "I hope that's not coming from the Mill House"

Why did they boo, for Pete's sake ?

Alright it could have been better but we've got a load of injuries and suspensions.

You know it shows how bad it is when people in the Mill House boo whilst even the worst complainers on here haven't moaned.

If Joel's out next week then the team for Hereford should be interesting as I believe Jones is banned for a game after picking up his 5th yellow of the season.

1st of all i booed at Wilson for taking Joel off simply because i didnt realise Joel was injured. As for Foley he aint good enough for Lg2 like 6-7 others that played today, as for money for new signings i dont think its gunna happen sorry.

I concur, the ref had already blew for a foul when Jones went into a second tackle so surely the ball was dead as play had stopped so he shouldn't have been booked sctatchinghead

The ref tried to point out where the persistent fouls had taken place. He managed to point towards the Rink End and that was it. banghead

Jones was booked for the foul on the guy who ran through about 4 players about 30 seconds before the incident your on about. We fouled him twice but he kept on going, Jones went through the back of him, ref let play go on then booked Jones when ball was out of play.

back to the original post - if Porter is out for 3 or 4 weeks, we could be in serious trouble by the time he's fit again.
No Brown and no Porter is a disaster for our attacking play. The alternative is the defence will simply have to sort themselves out, because we are going to have to rely on one goal being enough to get us a win. The possibilities of scoring 3's and 4's to dig ourselves out of the hole have diminished to the point of non existent.

the sad thing is - there were definitely games last season when some of the youngsters should have got their chance to get some first team experience. They shouldn't be getting their baptism when the prospect of a relegation battle is starting to loom. They could have been much more ready for action if the manager had given them some time on the field when he had the chance - they could be decent subs for us if they had already had a taste of first team action at least.
However sooner or later they are going to have to be given a chance if the first team regulars let us down.

i seem to remember you saying something similar sometime ago about blooding kids, relegation battle etc
but DW will only do it his way and Collins looked as if he was in trouble near the end of the game too, :uhoh:

I think the booing was mostly down to the fact that he brought Foley on AGAIN!

he is taking the piss with Foley now. Like I said before, people woin't stand for having the piss taken out of them for their 20 quid admission money - they'll stop coming to the match.
And they don't deserve a slap.

Thats why i was booing, if he continues with his want for foley we will be in big trouble. Cant remember if mccunnie was on the bench but if he was he should have been on and pushed sweeney on the wing or brought monkhouse on.

Hang on.......

 I actually believed the first line of that but when I got to the Foley bit I got suspicious!
