If the gates keep falling he will be gone.

Its based on gate receipts now?? I always thought it was to do with games won and all that.

Southgate would have been sacked ages ago if the gates were to go by...... sctatchinghead

Uncle Ken won't stand back and watch the gates go into freefall he will put Danny Boy to the sword.

Sack this idiot of a manager. I usually expect more from you Chip, and you usually give more with a reasoned argument.

Now I'm unable to confirm if this is correct , but I have been told that some players' were in fact sent home today by the club doctor, with serious colds. (Someone may be able to confirm or deny if this is in fact true)

So basically today we were down to the bare bones.

Just what will sacking Wilson achieve at this moment in time ?

A new man will have the same squad, until January and unless funds are made available ( not likely in my opinion) the same squad till the end of the season.

Gates may be falling due to the economic situation across the country, the fact that Christmas is approx 3 weeks away, and not for the football being played. Those are possibilities.

This is not the time to panic, but for those of us who attend games to get behind everyone and make sure we stay in this League.

I'm not advocating keeping Wilson forever, just at this particular time. Maybe at the end of the season IOR and all concerned can sit down and come to a solution, for next season.

Why great? because he agrees with you?

Personally I agree that Wilson had very little to play with in the way of staff but he can certainly make better use of what he has. Picking the same old tired names that fail time after time when there are talented kids ready to step in is just plain crackers.

Chip today I made it that we had the following players starting out of position.....

Sweeney
Robson
Porter
Liddle (why on right of midfield 3??)
Humps (why in centre, surely best on left of the 3?)
Jones (why on the left of the 3 when he used to play right wing?)

We never win with 1 or 2 players out of position never mind 6.

Kyle shouldnt get a game in League 2, sadly with the wages were paying him, I cant see us dropping him.

Wilson is a dick.

firstly its less than 2 months since obafemi was saying in a thread he started on this board it was time to sack wilson. draw your own conclusions from that.

secondly i cant even be arsed to list the myriad reasons why wilson has to go. the first half today summed it all up for me. i couldnt give a flying fook about colds and flu. so fooking what ?

the shape was abysmal, the team selection was abysmal, the players looked lost.

porter on the right hand side of a three man strike force. wtf was that all about ? throughout time left footed players have played on the left and right footers on the right, theres a fooking reason for that.

robson at left back, great going forward, but very lucky not to give a goal away in the first half when pissing about when last man.

the three in midfield ? why ? what was that meant to achieve? all 3 of them want to sit back and pass the ball sideways.

we only looked like winning the game when porter went off and we went back to 4-4-2. even then why bring foley on ?

kyle we are told was wilsons main summer target. had he actually watched the bloke play ? he is completely and utterly unsuited to the way we play. wtf are we doing playing with a huge fooking plank up front and liddle jones and humps in midfield ????? who is meant to supply crosses for kyle to get on the end of in that formation ?

you couldnt make this shiit up. a target man and no width, no wonder it looked such a sorry fooking shambles. does the bloke have any frigging idea what he is doing ?

i cant even be bothered arguing the point. he hasnt got a clue. never took a team up out of this league and never will the dull little tw@t.

Hooray. Somebody with some sense at last.

Today as far as im concerned was the final nail in Danny Wilsons coffin. To play Humphreys in midfield and Matty as the left back is criminal! Wilson is completely incompetent and is little better than Martin Scott. Today was like having Scotty back in charge with all the players playing out of position (and to be honest not seeming to know where they were meant to be playing!)

If I had not got a season ticket then it would be extremely unlikely that I would attend another game until Wilson has gone. He has slowly drained all the passion out of the club and the fans. I cannot tolerate the bloke. I hope his central heating breaks down over christmas

concur , totally

We've gone backwards , big time in the last two seasons.
Hopefully the slump will not take us to the 4th Division, before we get rid of Wilson

With that post you go back to the Chip, I know and who gives reasons for his original post "Wilson out", and it makes absolute sense, and for the attention of Mr I if you check some posts I dont always agree with Obafemi. In fact at one stage I accused him of being a "closet Mag".

If you trawl back through the pages on here you will find a thread entitiled "If my views upset people"

viewtopic.php?f=2&t=19018

Is were I had a go at Wilson and Obafemi , like most people's my opinions change, I have been behind Wilson most of the time, at the moment Im probably sitting on the fence, I'm just not certain bringing a new man in now is the answer.

Now if because Im agreeing with someone who you disagree with means you have less respect for my views, that is your right, though I will at times disagree with many on here, I will also probably agree with some I normally disagree with. The user's name on here certainly wont simply make me agree or disagree, simply because of who they are. I give MY opinion, no one else's.

But going back to my original reply on this post, it was a simple post pointing out that Chip a man who uses reasoned and sensible arguments( and I dont know him) had resorted to a one line(IMHO) post, "Wilson Out" which , I personally think shows a lack of argumentative reasoning and which I have had a go at users for in the past. That doesnt mean I dont respect Chip's views ,I just believed he had resorted (for this post) to joining the ranks of users who dont give reasoned arguments. A simple disagreement on this issue.

the only saving grace is that there are some crap teams in this league and our little run in october has got us nearly half the points we will need to survive.

the next 7 away games are at hereford, scunny, oldham, swindon, brighton, huddersfield and mk dons. none of them are world beaters but you wouldnt fancy us getting too many points there. thats why todays result was so disappointing.

i will still be there supporting the team ( even after todays crap performance i came home and booked transport for the away game at brighton in january ) but my early season optimism is just draining away. i felt sure we would win today, i said as much on here before the game, but after seeing the first 10 minutes today, i felt like going home. dull football, crap atmosphere.

with brown and porter out and monky out of favour wheres the excitement gonna come from. robson ?

like i said, its depressing.

So how much did you lose on that 'certainty' of a bet yesterday?

PS, can't really disagree with anything you've said on this thread like.

It's simple, since the beginning of last season Wilson has been steering the ship except it wasn't connected to the rudder, we've been going round in circles since. It's the Kings New Clothes all over again, but it's Dannys New Tactics, .... like the clothes they don't exist but everyone carries on kidding themselves.
