I think there are certain criticisms that can be justified. I don't think 4-3-3 suits us, 4-4-2 does. Sweeney is wasted at right-back but McCunnie had man flu. Ben Clark was a miss. Robson is more of a left-winger than a left-back. Humphs played well out of position in midfield and did well when he reverted to left-back. Mackay was never in the game and should have been replaced with 20 mins to go, if not earlier. The midfield was woefully exposed for its lack of manpower. I think we played a lot better when the formation changed. Lessons need to be learned.
