Normal prices and you have to keep hold of your stubs!

2 tickets per season ticket holder

I'm guessing Boro being at home has influenced the decision but it doesn't actually say anything on the official site

Whythecuntfuckingshit should season ticket holders get two per stub? sctatchinghead

Every other game has always been one season ticket gets one cup ticket. Why the change now?

Well if you don't mind.

But I still reckon that it's wrong.

I'm a season ticket holder and agree it does appear to be wrong.

But as many on here seemed to think it wouldn't sell out anyway, there shouldn't be a problem. I will take up the offer of the 2 as my son will be home for that game. It just saves me queueing twice.

You're letting the cat out of the bag!

Although he'll probably need a fuller explanation and a few diagrams.

Two tickets per season ticket holder, they can welcome to the board then, you'll have the specracle of some rarf who goes once in a blue moon getting a ticket before someone who can't afford to buy a season ticket but goes to all the matches. Why the fook should they get two, I have no problem with season ticket holders getting first option obviously, but two....?
Before anyone says it won't be a sell out, what happens when it is... someones brother in law who's a Sky Newcastle fan who lives in Hartlepool but never goes to Pools gets first choice over regulars.
Well it won't be a full house because I'm fuming over this and they can count me out ... it's not the recession, it's things like this that alienate people.

If it's two per season ticket holder, Snowy, I'll get one for you.

I'll post it in a brown envelope to your house and no-one will ever know

Very well put Mr Snowy.

Very well put indeed.

Let's hope that if somebody from HUFC is reading this we see a new article on their website apologising for their misprint originally and confirming that it is one ticket per season ticket.

But I wouldn't hold my breath.

im a season ticket holder and have to say it seems a strange decision.

that said anyone who wants a ticket for the game will get one, and unless they make it all ticket, you will be able to pay on the gate imho.

as for pools getting through to the next round, even if they stick by the same rules, as long as you keep yr stub from the 3rd round game you will get a ticket even if we got man utd or the mags at home.

I appreciate that point Chip, but this is setting a future precedent and I get the feeling that if you don't have season ticket you can just welcome to the board because you don't count.

Another point in this is that say there's 2,000 season ticket holders and the ground capacity is 7,000, under the old system, the 2,000 season ticket holders got their tickets , no problem, then there were 5,000 left to fight over. Now, in theory, there's 3,000 left to fight over. Matches like this were a golden opportunity to get the lost regulars back through the gates and possibly get their interest back. But no, instead, a load of one offs, who won't be regulars if you paid them to go, will get preference by default and probably have the waverers thinking they won't get a ticket so why bother. Playoffs aren't impossible, so imagine the fun and games that would cause..."I've got the 3 stubs for attending the previous three matches, but that git over the road who 'supports' Man U at the pub got a ticket off his brother in law, no stubs needed"
It appears the corporate mindset is alive and well.

I have never had a season ticket and never will. The day your value as a fan is rewarded in this way, i.e you with two stubs are down the pecking order behind someone who came because 'their brother in law got him a ticket and it'll get him out of the house after New Year and is probably yawning at half time because he doesn't really give a toss and could be watching Man U on the box', ....... is the day you finally have to say why bother at all.
We have the high and the mighty saying that gates are down because of the recession, well you haven't got a fookin clue..... if the organisation was right (spent ages trying to get through to buy tickets for today, still never got them, they haven't workrd out that someone with a ticket will turn up, someone without sees the weathers crap on the day and says why bother) so that you felt wanted and the passion and belief was actually showing on the field, people would be trying to get there. Has no one at the club realised that the atmosphere in the ground has been crap for a couple of years?... long before any credit crunch, we've had a passion crunch at the Vic. Still, long as the corporates are happy.
What's the symptoms of creeping alienation....?

But surely to fook, whilst it matters how the club is ran, at the same time you go to support the team. I understand that you think that they're ignoring the 'normal fan' but you're just cutting your nose off to spite your face here. Great that you're taking a moral stance but raise your point, get it listened to, but still go to the game. Why miss out?

But that is the point, if I whine on and on then turn up, .... what would be the point? I really am pissed off with this and obviously my not turning up for this match won't make a jot to anyone, but at least I've raised the issue and I'm practicing what I preach.
To me, it's just pushing a load of mates up the queue so to speak, knowing the non season ticket regulars will still turn up. Sorry, but when people push in front I always speak up, can't help it.

Right so moaning on here is going to acheive just what? It's not really raising the issue with the club is it

Internet is a medium for news and events these days but these board is probably only glanced at by a few people at the club.

Nothing else.

What I would suggest that all do if they have a concern is address the club direct instead of being cyber-moaners (justifably in a lot of cases) which in reality achieves very little.

As the notice re the tickets was mentioned on the website contact the person who deals with Pools' website and complain to him DIRECT. Do you want to achieve some form of parity and fairness here or just go on and on and on?

Go on - email him - mark.simpson@hartlepoolunited.co.uk - raise your concerns with HIM rather than floundering around in the dark.

I suggest that all who disagree with this policy (even if they have season ticket) raise their concerns with him. The only true way to get your voice heard is to let them hear it.

Time to stand up and take some direct action, there's to much fannying around about us and them and they don't care etc. The tune of £1.8M last year shows they care, maybe they're just misguided with some policies at times to try to generate interest, support and income.

Speak now, or forever hold thy peace.

Mr Snowy, whilst I agree in principle with what you are saying, you are making the assumption that a season ticket holder will buy a ticket for someone who 'normally never goes'. Whilst in reality, with this game in particular, everyone who wants a ticket will get one.

A mountain out of a molehill springs to mind, after all I can remember several instances in the past where a season ticket holder can purchase 2 tickets for a playoff/cup match.....I didn't see anyone 'unhappy' about it at the time.

And more productively, why don't you write a letter to Mr Hodcroft explaining the reasons why you feel situations like this are detrimental to the club as the regular fans are feeling 'alienated'.

Uncle Ken did welcome 'constructive criticism' in his statement to the AGM. I believe a letter would carry more weight than a (eloquent) rant on a message board.

Mr b.... if by some fluke of time travel, King Herod was to be appointed Chairman and advocated that all season ticket holders should slaughter their first born, as King Herod does, you would look favourably on the decision and put forward five valid points to justify his actions.

and anyone who feels the need to moan, is doing so for moanings sake in this case.

If you wanted to have a moan about todays match though, you would be well entitled to
