Did he really spend 90 million in less than a year of being there? I'm not sure you're facts are right Mr Talbot.

I think Allardyce would be a good appointment for Sunderland and a far improvement on the dog w*nker

90 mill, 20 mill, whatever the figure, it's more then enough to keep a club in the premiersh1t

OK they are still there, but my point was about the 606 posting

Blunderland0 aren't run on a 'shoestring' but generally employ complete cocks for managers, OK?

He's talking about Sam Allardyce though.

IMO Keane spent too much money and signed too many players.

But thats the pressure of the premier league now, £70million over 2 years and it just gets your survival by 3 points.

A new team coming up can only really sign championship players, people like Chopra, Jones, Edwards etc

Stick em in and see if they survive, it's a gamble but what else can you do?

Yes and by that fact he is implying that Blunderland are club with limited resources, when they aren't

He could have easily bought the same ilk of players on half the money, I mean if Chopra is worth 5 million quid then so is Browny. That was the most scandalous signing ever. The keeper was 9 million or something and he had only ever played in the SPL. 14 million quid for them two, he should have been looking at buying a couple of experience players who are at the wrong end of their careers. Keane has been out of his depth in the Premiership, there's only so far being a motivator and a hardman can get you.

As soon as a club knows you have money though they up there prices.

Cardiff knew sunderland had dosh, a big shiney irish backed owner with coin in his pocket.

Cardiff would turn down a few bids thinking away we know you have money pull the other one.

I think we have finally discovered who has been sniffing the glue.

Sunderland's resources are clearly limited and this is shown in who they signed over the summer, I think their biggest signing was 2.5 million. They gave Keane money at the start of last season but I bet their summer spending was one of the lowest in the Premiership this season. Their clearly isn't a potless amount of money available anymore (much like Allardyce at Bolton) and they're identifying Allardyce as someone who has a great record with a club that didn't have bucket loads of cash at his disposal.

I heard on the radio yesterday that since Keane got the job at Sunderland they are the 6th highest spenders on transfer fees in the WORLD never mind the Premiership.

The result? Loads of average players and the bottom three of the league.

The West Ham players weren't bought before the start of the season.

Look at the pre-season ins and outs and you'll see sunshine!

Sunderland are shite. Always have been always will be. They just have more fans than Pools and play in a higher league. But that doesn't stop them being shite.
Same as Newcastle, Middlesbrough, West Ham, Coventry , Wolves, and a shit load of other top 2 level teams I can't be arsed to list.
The big difference between us and thgem is that we KNOW what our level is - that lot are all deluded.
Pools all the way for me - everyone else can go and f-uck right off.

Didn't need him?

He's the only half decent centre half they've got.

Just cos he had others doesn't mean that they were any good.

It would be like saying that Pools shouldn't sign a keeper cos they already have three.

I'd dare say he could have done without at least half the players he signed.

468million was spent in the Summer by Premiership clubs. Spending 20 mill these days is the norm.
