My dodgybox is working but it just displays channel 0001, which is Sky Sports 1. Owt I can do?

sounds like you need to rescan for all your channels

just did a scan and it's dropped all the setanta sports channels. No other channels anywhere else - just SS 1 and 2 and SS News!!???? It's come back with their names removed from the lists!!!!

I've just done the power scan - previous to that it was the update channels thing I tried, but it didn't work. At least it's forced my hand to finally organise the channels into their proper categories.
PS fuck virgin and sky!!!

How do you do this power scan, when I put in yesterdays new codes I lost Setanta Sports, but all the other channels are still there

This is for the Eurovox DVB XC BOX V TDA model.
Go to menu, then user installation, then fast install option. Make sure you select the correct bandwidth (it's at the top of the screen, and there's three options). Mine is 6.887 Mbaud, you highlight that number by scrolling up or down the screen, and then left to right to get the correct setting. Once you've highlighted the correct setting, press ok and it will just do it.
It takes about 15 - 20 minutes altogether to complete - it first of all deletes everything that's there, then re-scans from scratch and picks them all back up again on their new frequencies (which is why you lost Setanta - they changed the frequencies for it). You know when it's done when the telly comes back on. You will have to re-arrange all your favourites again more than likely, as it will pick up new channels and knock everything out of kilter. Only took me 10 minutes to do the favourites like, but I probably wouldn't even bother doing it again in future if they keep fucking about.

Even with all three, Virgin Media's package for all the tv, internet and phone was costing me about 100 quid a month. Sky are no better. Greedy greedy greedy greedy greedy overpriced cartel-operating greedy greedy greedy greedy bastards.
