I was there that day. About 100 pools fans in the terrace on the side. I walked into a pub near the railway station and it was like a scene from a western, the jukebox went quiet and everyone stopped talking to turn and look at me. Fortunately I necked my pint before the neanderthals managed to drag their knuckles off the ground............very scary.

they are the horriblest fans I've ever come across - Port Vale are a milder version of them.

I ended up in the wrong end at Port Vale back in 1981 and I think the only reason I didn't get beat to schite was the fact we got beat 5 - 2, IMO all midlands teams fans are Neanderthals.

I was at that game in 93 and i thought we were stood behind the goal with a big following of 800+Poolies.
I remember drinking in the pub behind that stand.

Well Prague who led who into the wrong end then?. me you or another I can't remember much about that day except I had started drinking on the 5.30am Weymouth to London train and ended up eating a beef curry using my comb as a spoon around 1am Sunday morning.

Must be a different game then, definately the side terrace when I saw us win. I saw as play their in the milk/rumbelows/co-ca cola/league cup when we were stood in that terrace behind the goal. Got beat 3-2. Great game as I remember.
