Seeing as the ramjams are blowing each other up and using westerners as fig 11's, do you reckon its safe to go there or not? what do you reckon?

It might be a bit more dangerous if you go around calling them ramjams, after all it is their country and you would be a guest.

Good tip, ta!

It's just that my ramjam indoors wants to go there in a couple of weeks and I don't fancy scraping her off the carpet. Or vice verca come to that.

It was a terrible thing...but to answer the question and looking at previous terrorist 'incidents', it's probably safer to go just after one of them than at any other time?

I'm in concurrence.

This one has made me consider whether I'd visit India again. The thing this time last year I did a bit of traveling in India and spent about four days all told in Bombay. I've got to say I loved the place and thought it was fascinating. Every night we were there we had a beer in Leopolds cafe and made travel arrangements at Victoria Train Terminus, two of the places innocent people were massacred on Wednesday so I felt shocked by the news and it certainly feels more real when you can picture the scenes were these things happened. It's frightening to think people doing what I did last year were gunned down just because of where they were from.

So it begs the question would I visit Bombay again? Without doubt I would, things like this are all about being in the wrong place at the wrong time. If we all took the attitude that 'I wouldn't visit that place again' we'd end up not being able to go anywhere. People wouldn't use the tube in London or a bus, people wouldn't board an internal flight in the US, nobody would visit Bali. Also part my attitude is that if people alter their thought processes as a result of these barbaric actions the bastards have actually achieved something.

Lets be honest if people are fooked up in the head enough to carry out actions like this or blow themselves up their isn't a great deal that can be done to stop them. Especially suicide bombers, how can any amount of intelligence or security stop somebody who is willing to do that? It's terrifying I know but life must go on and these Islamic lunatics can't be allowed to dictate innocent peoples lives.

So get yourself to Goa Mr I!!

Top post Mr PJ Sir. clappp clappp

Fruck 'em, and fruck the daft, inexperienced, inadvised people who tell you not to. 'Intelligence tells us that....' When do they ever get it right?? Only after the event.

Mr I will agree that in Northern Ireland, the word went round the squaddies before it went round the brass. They were 'evaluating,' we were fleeing.

I spent a fair few weeks out in India, Pakistan & Goa, yes Mr I the gray funnel line before you say it.

As PJ says I also loved Bombay and would not think twice about visiting it again, you can get terrorist attacks in almost any country in the world, Spain, Bali, Turkey & Sri Lanka just to name a couple of the more holiday areas that have had troubles.

I had 2 weeks in Goa a couple of years back and loved the place, a nice friendly relaxing island with plenty to do & see, good hotels and great food.

The one place I didn't feel safe and would never go back to is Karachi, so go on get yourselves out there and enjoy the winter sun.

Anyone been to Peru on holiday?, as I fancy going there next year unless my credit is crunched too much.

No! You're confusing it with Indian Takeaways after the Environmental Health have paid a visit.

A couple of friends been to Peru - very cheap (especially the cocaine) - lots to do, lots of must does, lots they didn't do. One of them went back a few years later with some more friends and one of his these lives out there still - i believe he's building a refuge/shelter for the poor - and there's lots of them.
