That macclesfield one was awful mind so was the defeat 2 years ago when they beat us 2-1 and got Chelsea in the next round. It was foooking freezing that day and we were also shoite.

The Hereford one last year was also horrid. It was also foooking freezing and we were also shoite.

No repeats this year rage

Marine (1975) Drew 1-1 Bobby Scaife scored.

Best One
Runcorn (1990) Joe Allon hat-trick, got VERY drunk.top day out.

Worst One
Macclesfield (1993) Got beat 2-0, Gibson Out protests....disaster.

What a sh1te away day Macc was!!!!

We went in a 'car' my brother lent from his mate, a very old clapped out Ford Sirrea, which got a flat tyre near Rochadale, but we didn't have a spare ..... took ages to get going again, missed nearly all the first half and then fooked off after about ten minutes of the second!

I seem to remember it pissed it down and the 'arabs' invaded the pitch with a 'Gibson Out' banner

Happy Days

Running battles on the pitch with Everton fans, not a great day out in Liverpool.

didn't Paul Cross hold up one of the banners about Gibson that day at Macc?
He was sold to Darlo shortly afterwards

Macc were an up and coming team to be fair, and they were a division above us within four years of that match (even though when that game kicked off we were about four divisions in front of THEM)!!!

People in the seats behind are always kicking me at football matches, usually in the 5 minutes before half-time when they're haring off to beat the queues for nauseous looking food.
It's always in the same 3 ribs and I'm permanently bruised

I can't really remember, I know he kicked me in the nads when we were trying to get a drunk Poolie out of the covered end who hadn't noticed we'd changed ends at half time and they'd covered him in spit. Four of us went up to get the poor bugger out and we got attacked.

When he came out of the gate I knacked him. Bad influence on the young lads eh?? :uhoh: :uhoh:

it wasnt much of a scrap at chorley tho - end of the game the spill on to the pitch and they turn tail except one lad who alas suffered a cracking left off a poolie most will know.

we were in the bogs at chorley - after eventually being allowed in to the ground - and they had pinned these warning posters up - hand written on old computer print paper - Beware Chorley Red Hand Gang. Funny old day out

Which match was it where there was a banner that said...

Gibson OUT
Busby OUT
Tits OUT

i'm sure it was that Macc cup match.

Bradford away.

Guaranteed.

End of season 1993 I think.

It was my banner.

Awesome banner that! Paul Mullen had a big photo of it. I think we won that day with Paul Thompson or somesuch no-mark scoring?

I thought we lost 2-1?

Thompson had two chances in two minutes but only put one away.

I'm also sure their new Chairman Geoffrey Richmond got paraded to their fans before the game but this could all be bollox

Wrong season TPP, that was the year we went down. The last game of 92/93 was the one we won 2-0, with Thompson scoring with his first touch.

Details, details!

All those years of sh*t just blur into one!
