If Brown is sidelined to long.

I know it been said that come January he will join Rotherham permanently, but at the moment he is still, technically our player.

So can we recall him if need be ?

No. He has signed a permanent deal with Rotherham - not that the official site will confirm this.

Would that have not broken FA rules, if he has actually signed a permanent deal.

The transfer window was closed and although the deal may have involved being a loan with a view to being permanent, surely that can't happen till January 1st.

So until that date it can only be a loan. (IMO) And loan rules state

"A player on emergency loan can be recalled after 28 days but not before".

As he joined Rotherham on October 3rd, those 28 days have passed.

Not denying what you have said but Barker moved outside of the transfer window so by the league rules isn't he still our player, albeit on loan?
He also doesn't seem to be used much by Rotherham - coming on as a sub usually (I think).

He could have signed if he was a free agent, but that would mean that we would have had to cancel his contract, i can't see pools doing that when kyle could be recalled at any time.

A better idea would be to send Kyle back and bring barker back. If it was at all possible!
