Is this party an illegal party ?

If not why all the fuss about people been members ?

Members of it have lost there jobs because they are in it, why?

I know it has this stigma that people who are in it are racist thugs but i think it has distanced itself from that these days and are trying to be a proper political party

Is it any different to been a member of the Scottish National Party or a member of the Welsh one ?
And before the mud slinging NO im not a member, i just cant see what the fuss is

You don't keep a dog in a stable and call it a horse (I don't mean you Mr Kint, the BNP will always be the NF)

Everyone has the right to free association within a country: that's why Germany has neo-Nazi parties.

It is a legitimate political party and it is not illegal to be a member of this party whether the general public like it or not.

However, some professions have it stated in their contracts that they are not allowed to be a member of the BNP and therefore they may be in breach of contract which is possibly a sackable offence.

I guess for advocates of ban on BNP members taking certain jobs, the argument is centered on homogeneity. Political parties focused on winning votes tend to reasonably monolithic. There are clear sets of principles, manifestos and policies that you sign up to when you join.

Those arguing for a ban on BNP members taking up certain jobs would say their clear support and advocacy of principles and policies that contravene the terms of their employment, or the values of their employer, mean it is impossible for them to be employed in these jobs.

when you travel to the United States you have to fill in the visa waiver application form, and I know that if you declare you are - or ever have been - a member of any far right or far left political parties/organisations, you will be refused entry to the US and put back on the next plane home.
If someone really believes in something politically motivated, they'll have to decide whether it's worth screwing up their job and travel prospects for the rest of their lives or not!!!
Usually a lot of these decisions are made when people are young and impressionable, but it's something to bear in mind that it will follow them for the rest of their lives.

are the far left still viewed with the same suspicion these days? I know Spike Milligan was never given any royal gongs due to his association with the Communist Party in his youth (not that he'll have been bothered by it I'm sure).
I would reckon Class War would be a no-no organisation to join if you aspired to work in the public services!!!

The B.N.P realised that out & out racism is not tolerated these days so try to disguise their true self as a 'proper' party, but they are still basically just a racist mob.
The main parties may be crap, but they are still a damn sight preferrable to the B.N.P

1.BNP leadership are all former National Front members, formerly members of an openly racist party. Most Britons believe that BNP are just toning down their language for electoral gain, rather than accept they have recanted their racist past.

2. Because their leader, Nick Griffin said "Without the White race nothing matters [other right-wing parties] believe that the answer to the race question is integration and a futile attempt to create "Black Britons", while we affirm that non-Whites have no place here at all and will not rest until every last one has left our land." This clearly displays the white supremacist ideals of this odious man.

3. Because whenever BNP councillors have been elected, they have let their constituents down by refusing to attend or do any council work.

4. Because the British public want nothing to do with the casual violence which is trademark of too many of the racist thugs who populate BNP meetings

SNP, none of above

End of lesson

It's the fact that no-one ever comes out with an intelligent remark in favour of BNP that makes it all so worrying

Here's an intelligent and informed comment.

The BNP has a whites only membership policy.

End of discussion.

At least with the BNP you get what it says on the tin.
What we have now as our main parties make me sick noses in the trough fiddling there expenses buying groceries. tvs. carpets. furniture all off the back of the tax payer at least Dick Turpin wore a mask when he robbed people.
The BNP. NF. Column 88. Labour. Conservitives are all a waste of space.

I should know about it, I wrote a whole essay about it last year.

It's in their Constitution that by all means you can join any group you want inc. Neo-Nazism, but if you start beating people up etc, that's when you get arrested.
