Rightio, while we're on this topic somebody answer this...

The fish eaters have what they consider to be "their own" schools with admission policies outwith of those applied to normal schools. Yet reading in The Mail the other night they reckon that some of the tax money being given to the council for rebuilding schools is gonna get spent on Cuthy's. How's that then? If they want to have their own schools surely they should pay for them?

I bet there's a few on this board who wish that their parents had converted to Protestantism in order to get them OUT of Martyrs!

I reckon they should ban any and all religious schools and at the same time go back to the catchment area admissions.

And speaking of arseholes who piss you off, ignorant moronic parents dropping their fat lazy kids at comprehensive school in the car and parking in ways that block main roads, tear up grass verges, obstruct other road users and emergency vehicles and generally act like completetwats.

At my (and Snowys, and Spender's) school, we had to justify taking a bike to school, never mind a car!

There should be a system of windscreen badges, allocated only to those parents who can prove the car is a) necessary and b) not a 4x4, and only those badgeholders or residents are allowed to stop within 300 metres of the school entrance.

Anyone else gets an immediate 100 squid fine and if the car is a 4-wheel drive it gets confiscated and scrapped.

Make it a minimum of 1600m and you've got my vote.

I don't believe in schools based on religion either. Whats more I don't believe in public schools, and any Labour politician who sends their children to a public school isn't a socialist.

On about sectarianism I recently read an article about a place near Glasgow where they can't have anything painted green on their shop fronts or street furniture because it gets trashed and vandalised. Subway have had to change their normal green frontage to black beacuse they set fire to it otherwise. All of the green lights on the traffic lights also get smashed. Ridiculous or what?

Bummed or not, there must be a reason non-Catholics are converting to Catholicism to get them into Martyrs??

Or are they doing it for a laugh? (the converting, not the buggery)

Aand so this brings us nicely back to Mr Rippers first post on this topic. Its about the funding the catholic schools get. And where from.

But to be honest, I dont think the educational standards are that much higher to justify joining a half baked religious cult just to get your child into their schools.

Don't join the cult then....be it proddy or catholic

Oh aye, like there's any socialists left in the Labour party. The only surviving socialist in the parliamentary Labour party sits on the Lib Dems benches in his utter disgust at the stance of the ex-lefty now turned fascist bastads ((c)ADG).

I think you're on about a place called Larkhall?

There was hell on recently about an Asda being built due to the fact it would have a huge green sign (as they do) hanging off the side of it. Not sure what happened like.
