oh don't worry, thats only the beginning of your problems. Just wait til you have installed it and all thats left to do is activate it online. it says it will take '5 seconds'.

I have been repeatedly trying to activate it for 4 hours now, some other people have been trying since 10 this morning.

Hope you're more patient with this than you are with Danny Wilson

you have 2 options

register online - STILL not working
phone activation - phone lines either jammed or the number is out of service!!!!!!!

i thought we were moaners when Pools got beat, but head over to SIgames forum and its fooking bedlam over there, people seriously pee'd off.

And it's not Steam that the problem, its the activation software called SoftAnchor. Its shoite!

Oh and ALB was released before I even checked my faxes

WHAT A FOOKING FAFF ON I HAD WITH THIS GAME

I went to the asda at midnight thursday to get it, up till after half 2 trying to get it installed.

Had to get a mate round on the morning to help, turns out my windows vista settings were wrong so i had to alter them and it instantly worked.

Don't know anyone who has installed this smoothly, i feel sorry for anyone not computer literate cos they will struggle with this.

P.s Worth it though, won the league with leeds in first season, boo ya!!!

I've been clean nearly two years now. I once worked out that I had spent 32 days of my life playing this game, all in a 6 month period. I was an undergraduate back then and could afford to do that and get away. Now I'm a postgraduate AND teaching at the same time, buying this game would begin the slippery slide to failure.

Know what you're saying the Kolley. I was at Durham as a postgrad when Castle Wolfenstein came out for the PC - the forerunner of Doom and the like. Fecking lost months of me life that I'll never get back!! I always reckoned that if you worked with PCs a lot you are bound to get smitten by the odd game or two. For me games ended with GTA 3. Played it for months when we firast moved up here and then havent really bothered woth any games since - life's too short!!

I've lost everything to football manager, lives, children, family, girlfriends.

I've actually just put sleeping tablets in our lasses coffee so i can play it now.

My name is Philip and i'm an addict.

Just played a game and saw 8 players get took off injured. Usually at least 4 getting took off every game. Apparently the patch will fix it but im sceptical.

The patch should automatically get installed through steam, it has on mine.

Why release a game with so many bugs?

Never understood that.

You can get showumni from leeds for nothing and he is electric upfront, he got 10 for me at pools by october.

It's pretty easy to loan waghorn too from sunderland who is very good.

If your struggling at left back which i was go for fabio at man utd on loan.

Is it as addictive as ever. Am tempted to ask Mrs grave for it for Xmas but she already thinks I spend too much time sat at the pc (although mostly this is on the bunker). If I get it given as a gift then she can hardly complain if I make full use of my present!!!

Also many of the problems will have been patched by Xmas surely?

I would say its just as addictive if not more grave.

Has all the features of the last game, but as usual it has extras, 3d match engine, press conferences, more assistant manager feedback, obviously up to date players too which helps i.e. brown is much better as is liddle, jones, monky etc.

I like how you can go to say man utd, and get your assistant to tell you who would come to you on loan, saves you putting in stupid bids for players you wont get.

3d engine i've not got into yet, but i think i will.

The number 25 shirt at pools is retired for maidens too, nice touch i feel.

Sacked?

After how long?

I've done a month, im loving life, ormerod and brown upfront, monkhouse banging them in on the left, jones is class in the middle.

What went wrong?

Barker scored 12 in his first 10 games by the way so id play him if I were you. Couldnt stop concedeing though plus I fined Humphreys 4 weeks wages for missing a penalty and all the players revolted.

Anyone else apart from tree been pools yet?

I'm finding it good going with them, it's just started in december, i'm top by about 5 points.

Brown has 20 goals and is unreal, ormerod has 10.

Playing a very simple 4-4-2, set to long ball, balls over the top to brown to run on too, bang goal!

My wingers are getting loads of assists, setting it so they get to the byline, then cross to the far post, in comes the on rushing brown/jones/ormerod bang goal!

Getting a lot of joy from a simple formation.
