Let us know what he was like, Groovy

My daughter shares a name with one of his songs too, tho she was born a bit before it came out. Leonard copied me

My big brother bought 'The Rock Machine Turns You On' when it first came out and I sneakily listened to it.
2 songs that have stayed with me for life were Sisters of Mercy by the great man that this thread is about. The other was Fresh Garbage by Spirit. I've ended up with all Cohens albums and all the stuff that Spirit/Randy California have produced. clappp

The Rock Machine I love You was also seminal. I have been in love with Grace Slick (the 30 year old version) ever since therethere

The Rock Machine compilations were great.

Also the Island Records LP's we had "You Can All Join In" (Traffic, Free, Fairport etc) and "Bumpers" (Nick Drake, John Martyn etc).Theres a couple on the Probe label with acts like Steppenwolf, James Gang, Three Dog Night etc...

Great albums, I think they were £1.49 when they came out! Still got 'em all!

Nice Enough To Eat!! :coool:
Jethro Tull, Free, Blodwyn Pig and...............................Dr Strangely Strange....... Strangely Strange, But Oddly Normal
One helluva song title that!!

. . . and PP Arnold singing the first cut is the deepest, however the Nice doing Rondo cannot be beaten (in my opinion anyway). I've still got the album - Andrew Loog Oldham's Immediate label sampler.
