well said, that man !

I'm getting sick of saying that Wilson has more experience taking teams down, than taking them up.
Quality signings like Alig G (I'll hold judgement on Liddle and I think Boland was only intended as a short term fix), seem to confirm why.

I don't think Foley was injured as he recently played for the reserves, unless he was injured in that. I'm a bit pissed off that he's not playing.

Chip, that's almost poetic. Quality ranting there.... "the one week wonder huffs and puffs and blows no houses down. his supporting cast twirl around the margins of the goalmouth without doing much damage"

I agree with parts of it, we need a goalscorer and some of the others are average at best - however the irony is that in this division all you need to be a playoff challenger is someone that can stick the ball in the net. Last time we were promoted we did it with Mark Robinson at Left Back, Darrell Clarke on the right wing, and after Watson was injured the likes of Henderson and Richardson partnering Eifion more often than not. None of them much above average if at all, there's little evidence much has changed since then but without someone to put the goals away we're noticing all the other problems.

The good news is that even with the current squad and performance level we're probably no worse than somewhere between 10th and 15th. That though is more to do with the general standard of this division than with any merit of our own. How much we can do about it with the wage cap in place is open to question.....

1. Kevin, I think it's OK to bleat.

You would bleat if you went to the flicks and found the sound track wasn't working, and you would probably expect the managers to do something about it

2 I've noticed you didn't bring presents home from China

No, leave Cornelius alone.

There's a character of that name in Babar the Little Elephant (well, sort of. You don't get to hear his surname)

1. I would certainly think twice about going again. If I did I would know what to expect and wouldn't expect the management to pay attention to my complaints if there were another 91 cinemas I could choose from or a video shop on every corner.

2. Not true.

Well, two things.
If the sound track wasn't working, I'd want my money back.

Then, for fans there aren't alternatives to Pools in the sense that there are alternatives to the local Odeon. That's why people are a bit cross with KH. he's exploiting our loyalty.

And the 3rd thing is that IOR's policy is not fair to decent players whose careers are being put on hold.

Last, I could have done with a pack of real China tea

How the hell are IOR putting 'decent' players careers on hold?

Most of them have been shite for nearly two seasons, in any other walk of life they would of been out on their good for nothing arses

it looks to me like the stay at home fans or most of them all enjoyed the game
for the fans that turned up [or those like me that won't subscribe to sky]
saw a different game

i was amazed to see on quite a few occasions we had free kicks on the edge of their box
if we did not hoist it into no mans land and lose it we took precisely seven passes each time to get the ball back to Dimi
i don't expect anyone at the club to read the posts or even act on them
but no one will tell me we have had any success this season after how many games? despite being in the next round

Talbot, it's true that several members of the team aren't up to it...but that's my point. Others are, and could be playing at a higher level

and your point is snowy ???? ffs get off yr high horse. we are entitled to have a bit of moan after sitting through the last 3 and a half hours worth of home games and listening to the same shite from the manager. the way he is going on today you would think we had won the fa cup.

in case you werent there the team was booed off at half time full time and at half time in extra time. two of the subs were booed onto the field and there were about 2300 home fans there.
HIGH HORSE...? rolfl ... I know exactly what you think...you just re-arrange your reasons on a daily basis, it's a case of asking the time and being told how the watch works. After last season, I mastered the art of chilling out...I suggest you give it a try...how many times can someone go over the same points repeatedly in the knowledge they can't change anything. If I'm on a 'high horse'..you must be riding a camel with a cherry picker strapped on its back  I'm led to understand 'Rennies' are good for bile....chin up rolfl

how much longer the likes of dimi and nelse will hang around is debatable. this is a message board, i pay over a grand a year to follow pools, and while i dont boo or moan at games, i feel im entitled to have a pop every now and again on here.

attendances seem to be in freefall and this is a fookin serious issue. i havent missed a home game this century but even i am wondering if the seaon tickets will be getting reknewed next season.

is it too much to ask to be given basic information on players injuries for instance? someone needs to take the entire the football club and give it a bloody big kick up the backside before we are back to 2.500 attendances every week.

The club do give info on injuries on the club website, if they tell the press and they dont print it, well thats another issue.....

But I agree the club need another man (or woman, I'm not Mike Newall!) in the mould of the excellent Mr Mullen, but I can't see it happening at the moment

Snowy, I think if you chill out about football, the logical next step is to stop going to games at all. After all, there's no rationality in being a supporter.

And I'm really, seriously thinking of stopping going when my season ticket runs out this year. I shall get a new hobby and make something of my life......

Get passionate about the game by all means, but I'm getting weary of long winded theoriising about everything that's supposedly wrong with the club from the chairman down to the water temperature in the toilet sinks. IF THE ARMCHAIR GENERALS HAVE ALL THE ANSWERS...WHY ARE THEY STILL ARMCHAIR GENERALS, why aren't chairman beating a path to their door to drink at the fountain of their knowledge. I tried whining fpr all of last season and we still got relegated...maybe I was wrong to complain, I DON'T KNOW, but if you keep picking at something it never gets better, so I've decided to suck it and see this time around.

well if thats true then its sad. i mean why look on a message board if you disagree with fans having opinions ?

its like going to a dentists and complaining every time he takes teeth out.
...or even going to the doctors and contesting every decision and telling him his diagnosis doesn't tally with your 'learned ' opinion...'touche'
As for expressing an opinion, that's exactlly what I'M DOING.... unfortunately, when this happens, you find it annoying...YOUR OPINION...MY OPINION ... who's right, who cares. but surely you didn't think coming on this board was gonna be a back slapping gentlemans club did you..? THAT'S WHY this board is so good you can express an opinion in this way with a bit of tongue in cheek sarcasm, but if you're gionna take yourself soooooo seriously you may find it slightly uncomfortable.

Sorry Snowy.............but you are wrong to try and stop people saying what they want, but you are right and fully entitled to say they are wrong. confised confised

If you know what I mean.

If anyone stops giving their opinions, about pools, no matter how extreme, you will have ME to answer to.

So keep saying it.
Dib how can I actually stop anyone saying what they want....it's all just opinions. but in a sense of fair play, I'll just question specific points...howzat?
p.s ...till I get bored that is or feel mischievous.

I bow to your genius. .... apathetic...I was going there when 1500 was a reasonable crowd so pedantic lectures sway me not one jot. As for doffing my cap ...... rolfl
