There is a small group on here who have no function other than to attempt to destroy the board. Both Jockthemonkey and his mate included. They always pop up at exactly the same time and always spout the usual crap. I've banned jock the monkeys ip and will continue to ban any new ip's he pops up on.

I think its time to get a bit tougher on those who have no other agenda other than to rivalise this place.

Who is "his mate", I haven't seen much of this argument all I see is Jock taking swipes at Mr Chip(who I also didn't know was a moderator) seems very petty top me and Chip has been very restrained with his responses.

Not one to dis the role of a moddy but doing a thankless task may be overegging your custard a little.

Lifeboatmen - now thats like a thankless task, mountain rescue yeah maybe, even the obese st johns ambulance would be ranked the same.

But checking the comments on a message board between several of them - thankless??

Anyway, ban them and the other two and the double i.d. people who possibly may raise questions about orange shirts

Dont always agree with some of your posts chip (it would be boring if everyone agreed with everyone else) but i definately air my support for the mods!

theres a lot more to the mods task than you make out, as they are responsible for all the admin work, which means protecting the board from spam, back ups, vetting new applications ( theres been at least a dozen this weekend ), responding to emails etc.

ask yourself this, how aften does this board crash, how often is it offline for maintenace, how often is it spammed ?

in addition to that i personally have to make ridiculous amounts of calls/texts sorting out the bunker 5 a side every week, theres the poppy appeal to be sorted, and i spend about 45 minutes a week updating the prediction league.

thats a few hours unpaid every week helping to keep the board running.

im not asking folk to send me flowers, but when you get folk coming onto the board purely to make unfounded and unsubstantiated allegations and making personal attacks why should we put up with it ? nobody is forced to read/use the bunker, nobody pays for membership, nor are there any adverts and pop ups.

you are getting a lot of free publicity for your book on here mr katcha, and it will continue to be plugged by those responsible for the board as its an admirable pools based project.

if there wasnt an unpaid admin team running this board it would collapse, and it would be one less area of free publicity for you.

Like i said overegging again

Free publicity - I have volunteered contributions to whatever the fund is that the bunker want to use and when all of those who have stated that they wanted an copy recieve them then I will forward these monies on.

Further this is the last time that I will mention said project on this board - which has really only been mentioned to update the subscribers - for the opus it is it could have been well over egged, but in this case the proof is in the pudding.

(1) I hate publicity
(2) Publicity to a clique is not much of a window
(3) I don't need publicity tied with patrony and near 'think yourself lucky' suggestions.

People seem to forget themselves- are they better people because they moderate - are they better people becuase they have the time to string a few words together in their defence/attack - are they ever going to be wrong because they moderate?

For fuck sake, lighten up, take a look at the world outside of the window.
