Went to see our kid in foreign parts and on the first morning went for breakfast determined to have a go at the local food. Well those noodles and those dumpilings and that rice porridge were all so white and gelatinous. And then I met this canadian bloke in the lift who said that the american embassy was up the road so we went and had a MacDonalds breakfast with scrambled egg.

I intend confessing at the pearly gates that I crossed the threshold of Hades but it was better than gelatinous noodles and dumplings and rice porridge for breakfast.
