No, it's called a 'tag' and it stops you going out between 7pm and 7am

No cause for celebration I think, if the bank of england recommends a 1.5% cut in interest rates we are really deeply in the Sh!t. rage

Maybe.

But my mortage will still have dropped by about £200 per month on the back of the latest 2 interest rate cuts.

About the amount your house has fallen in value every 2.5 days for the last 12 month then?

I'm not arsed what it's value on paper is. I bought it to live in and got nowhere near a 100% mortgage on it.

Who cares how much less valuable the property is?

Like ripper said, I bought my house to live in. This interest rate cut means I have to pay less. And its about foookin time. We have the highest interest rates of any sensible country.

And even with this cut, we still do.

Rip off britain is alive and well, and some of you seem to prefer it that way.

Why the aggression???!! There was no need for the headline of this thread!

refred

I think this is perhaps the most stupid move the Bank of Blighty has ever made.

Talk about compounding errors.

Ah, but the problem is that they aren't passing it on ...cuts in savings rates, but nowt for borrowers, the banks win every time.

My mortgage rate will come down by the same rate as the cut cos I'm on a tracker, so I'm ok!

I have a mate, he's 74. he lives near Swansea and his wife lives here in China and he visits a couple of times a year for a few months with an eye on seeing his days out here when he finally decides to cut the cord.

He obviously sends their rass a couple of thousand yuan a month. A year ago it cost him 129 quid, now it costs him 190 quid.

Now his pension is what it is, there's little he can do about it at his age, but these safe custodians of the economy have absolutely screwed people like him yet found the money and kept the banks afloat.

Greedy Gordon should be tied to a post and have a wasps nest inserted in winnat canal.

Only matters if you are trying to sell it. Screws the speculators and unfortunately the savers.

Ive got mine on the market now sadx but................im fortunate that im not desperate to sell it (although would like to) but when the daft offers come in, my retort is foook off, this house will go up in price (a hell of a lot over the next ten years,) could even be worth a million in 20. so as far as im concerned im paying less morgage and the house is worth the same.................................. sctatchinghead believe me theres logic in there somewhere, in fact im putting the price up after crimbo
