At £27 the tickets can go and fk themselves.

But I might still buy one. :uhoh:

you'd either have to be rich or stupid to pay that to watch third division football.

or of course both.

Same price last year but plenty of people went.

I thought that they were cheaper last year?

Besides, last year was the first time we'd ever played at their place in the league, and lots of people thought it may well be the only time.

This year is different, it's not a novelty anymore and it's quite close to Christmas.

It's mental too though innit.

£25 is a sort of top end ceiling of being overpriced but ok.

£27 is nearly £30 and becomes a pisstaking rip off.

While I'm in full concurrence with your sentiments chip I would find it hard to miss the game, I want to support Pools at Elland Road and I think this is not just a problem with Leeds United it's a problem with football. They take the piss because they can. I admire your principles but I'll still be going which I suppose makes me a mug. They are taking advantage of dedicated football fans.

What I think needs to happen is something at a higher level. I think admission prices should be capped across the four divisions and obviously tiered given the level of football you are watching. What would be wrong if the Premier League and Football League got together and said the highest an adult ticket price can be for league game is;

£30 in the Premiership
£20 in the Championship
£18 in League One
£15 in the Fourth Division.

This would ensure that all clubs compete on a fairly even keel and the Man United's, Chelsea's, QPR's, and Leeds United's of this world couldn't take the piss. Would this be a bad thing for football? I believe we would see an increase in attendances.

Maybe The Mail could run a "Boycott the Leeds game" campaign?

I agree, its foooking extortionate. It would be fantastic if a successful boycott could be arranged, sadly it wont happen.

last season we took 2500 fans. at £25 for adults and a disgraceful £17 for concessions, leeds must have made about 50 grand out of pools fans. money they use to strengthen their squad and give them more of an advantage.

Well it was worse last season then, concessions have gone down £4 and adults have gone up £2. For a family taking kids it's got cheaper. I also believe we sold our allocation of 2800 and could have sold more last season.

I take your points, but Leeds are a big club who are probably charging a considerable amount less than they were 5 years ago to get into Elland Road. The only way to bring these clubs into line is to have strict rules regarding admission prices in relation to the level of football you are watching like I suggested in my previous post.

Category A,B,C matches in the third tier is absolutely laughable and shouldn't be allowed.

I was due to be working that day, but managed to arrange a swap, so that I could go, because I missed it last year. But I won't be going at those prices. Maybe next year, after they fail to get promoted again. rolfl

I'll be going as I live in Leeds so will save on travelling costs. A mate of mine who was going to go has decided not to after telling him the price.
