January? If they'd had them ready earlier they could have made a few bob from Xmas presents etc. never mind.

I hope Tree will keep us right about when we can wear them. I reckon the home game against Walsall on 7th February should be OK?

Sorry guys but the club are a complete joke. I know you all go hysterical when people criticise the club but there is no excuse for their incompetence.

Had the strip been ready a month earlier they club would have made £000s.

No Orange shirts before Xmas means people will buy summat else for Xmas prezzies the buy the Orange one in January so the club hits yer pocket twice
Top marketing ploy.

Or,

it means that people won't go down to the clubshop to get their new shirt before Christmas and therefore won't buy other stuff as Christmas pressies while they are there so the club miss out twice.

Much more likely from my point of view.

Jan is a bad time to bring a shirt out, it's economically the worst month of the year, people often go about 6 weeks without getting paid so have virtually have no money.

Any kid asking for a shirt, typical parents reply...

"You just got xx for christmas, go away"

Am i shite, the vast majority of folk will be buying as much for xmas as previous years, the club will have lost an awful lot of money. The credit crunch has effected southerners a lot more than us northeners. to suggest the club have voluntarily delayed the launch until after xmas is complete bolox and is laughable rolfl rolfl rolfl

They are a business and I would not beleive this for a second.

If you do then you are seriously naive stpid

Are we the only club to have 3 different sponsors on 3 different kits in the same season?

I may be wrong but I don't think the 'club' is at fault with the timing of the strip deliveries.

The club shop is a franchise type operation, one of about a dozen in England and Scotland which are run by a company on behalf of the clubs. The club basically gets a cut of the merchandise sold in the shop, and doesn't have that much of a say in what is ordered.

I was in not long ago after some baby clothes, and the lass in there told me the baby range has been scaled back because of baby stuff not selling well across all the clubs (even though it does well at Pools). It seems like they buy unbranded stuff in bulk, and brand it with all the different club logos in one go (saving them a few bob).

I'm pretty sure Fulham are one of the club shops they run, which would explain why they had the same black/red away kit as us.

FFS lads, the club are getting off their arse and acknowledging the poppy appeal. Fair play to them. If I get the chance i'll certainly bid for the shirt.

Well said Mr I. I've just signed up to make the same point. The club are trying to raise some money for a very worthy cause, i don't really see why people have to look for a negative in that.

I don't think that people are being negative over the fact that Pools are helping out the Help for heroes campaign, in fact you will probably find that everyone here will think that it is a very good gesture by Pools. What people are not happy about is the fact that the new shirt is not going to be made available until after Christmas

Fair enough. but i get the impression that if pools had released the shirt at the begining of December then people on here would have been saying 'typical pools, trying to make a quick buck off the fans again'. Maybe i'm wrong.

Ok why don't we ask Bunker members to chuck say £25 quid each in to go for a shirt. If successful we can then draw lots to see who gets it, maybe in the Millhouse so we know its fair.

and if i was a wealthy man, i would be leading the way in the bidding for shirts.

i never buy a matchday lottery ticket for instance, but if a shirt was up for grabs as the prize, i would deffo get at least one and probably 2 or 3.

the debate about the general release of the third kit is a completely seperate issue.

Agreed, no one has said a bad word about the poppy appeal.

But then again thats how this place works, people are totally unable to actually read whats written and see what they want to see.

As I and also cassy have said there are some on here who can't resist a pop at the club for any reason.

yawn1 yawn1 yawn1

When the club do something right (which is rare) I will commend them on it. When they fuck up a piss up in a brewery I will 'have a pop'.

Hope thats ok with you

The poppy shirt thing is tremendous by Pools and deserves praise for all concerned. Big praise.

The release of the shirts after Christmas and half way through the season is fkin woeful and questions should be asked.
