The bairn has got loads of cuddly toys, which I want to name after less skilful Pools players of the past. Up to now we have:

Doigy
Tunks
Borthwick (although it is now called Borkwick as he gets puked on regularly)

Can anyone help me with some more?

I've just had a look for him on Mad John's site, but no sign. Perhaps he will be in Katcha's book.

Well, at least we could do a thing like that in this country as opposed to the poor woman who got jailed over it in the Middle East.

Actually can I suggest Scottie after Scott Walker. He was awful at Wycombe when we won 4-3 away.

Gilly (John Gill) and Taffy (Anthony Williams).

I'm sure no-one would mind when they get showered in regurgitated rusk if they're called that.

How can you put Taffy Williams on that list ? He was absolute class, he was.

I remember when he saved a Kidderminster penalty when we won 1-0 with a Sharp header.

Absolutely brilliant he was.

Marcus Richardson was one of the very few talented black players we've had - ah, diving into the Rink End snow in Winter 2002 after scoring !

Widdro was class and all.

Williams was a cack keeper who was perceived as ok after the shite we'd endured for years.

I'm not even going to credit your comments on Marcus with a response save to say that you really are one racist bastad. refyellow

Taffy Williams wasn't a very good keeper.

Marcus Richardson.. talented rolfl I see no relevance in his colour in respect to his or anyone else's ability either.

That was a superb save, one of the best penalty saves I've seen in a Pools match. Taffy was excellent in his first season with us, but I thought his form took a downward turn after that. Still a long way from being among the worst keepers we've had.

That's fair point about Williams actually he was good in that season, and even in the second. It was just that promotion season his form just got worse and worse and Newell not dropping him was a major factor in us not winning the title. It took Cooper one game and he'd seen enough!!

Still he was never the bravest, I think his biggest fault.

Taff probably had ten good games for Pools in four seasons and lived off the back of them. Fire one from point blank and he was OK, bang a cross over or run at him and he was dire.
