I liked the look of him yesterday, I think with a better partner instead of that plank Daly he'll do really well. His movement off the ball was class and although he's still missing a bit of sharpness, he looks a decent addition.

May be it's Daly, may be it's him but he caused the mighty Accrington Stanley no real problems in 90 minutes. His movement on and off the ball produced little. He's not good in the air. He's quick enough but not that quick. His touch and skills are average. Worth having in the squad while Joel is out, but not worth keeping on current form. James Brown will turn into a far better player and should have more time on the pitch

How can you produce such an assesment after he's played 2 games?

May be it's time we actually started to give players a chance

How many games do you think he's going to play for us? He's only on loan for two months, so if he can't hit the ground running (not literally) then he's no damned use to us. The lad is supposed to be an experienced goal machine. I wish it were otherwise, but I see no signs that the skills that had them dancing in the streets of Falkirk are transferrable to Hartlepool (or indeed to Hull).

'experienced goal machine'

He's about 22.

He's doing OK, get off his case.
