You ought to here Joss Stone's very interesting and beautiful interpretation of God Save The Queen.

http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=zVBSJCtXH1s

What a kicking last note !!!!! She should enter Eurovision with that.

Er, because they were playing it in a stadium in a different country.

They probably had Joss Stone there because she's half-American, half-British - a connection between the "special relaationship".

And of course for one of the most interesting perfomances of our national anthem, I have ever heard.

Can I just say....

She's a good singer mind - I don't think I'd mind at all if that happened.

And she's British but she speaks with a slight American twang, I think.

I think we'd win with that... our national anthem can't aggravate other countries

She's from Devon you daft get. She probably talks like that because her family tree has been ravaged by incest.

and the interpretation is about as interesting as my failed Richie Barker thread. In fact the Queen should have her taken to the Tower with Brand and Ross.

Actually, the original post was about Joss Stone singing our national anthem.

It had nothing to do with the E word until yloop mentioned it.

Half American?

What a rarf.

As for her crucifixion of our national anthem, I agree with the sentimenths expressed elsewhere that she should be strung up for it.

Or locked in a room with POK for a week.

Alright, alright, no need to shout.

Who's "leedspoolie" ?

Whatever happened to freedom of speech and expression anyway ?

The Bunker has always existed without too many rules; however one law we have had since the very start is that direct abuse is not tolerated. Recently we have seen this unwelcome trait starting to appear. The moderators have therefore consulted and come up with a set of guidelines which we hope everyone will understand and adhere to. They are not meant to be heavy handed or overbearing, but we seem to have reached a point where either we act or we watch the board die like Rivals.

This board totally abhors racism. We do however believe in free speech, therefore ethnic-inspired posts are not automatically removed. If you don't agree with them, exercise your own right to free speech and tear the fallacious arguments to pieces.

WARNING: free speech is not something to be abused. If any individual repeatedly puts up contentious posts or tries to pass off hate speech as free speech, he or she will be named and banned.

So to sum things up:

Rule #1 No racism. This does not mean that we cannot discuss race or the impact of immigration, for example, but outright racism is a no no.
Rule #2 No threats or direct abuse, direct or implied. Yes of course we can still say nasty things to each other in a tongue-in-cheek way; just make sure it's not threatening or abusive.

Anyone who digresses gets a warning, do it twice and they get banned.

It is hoped these guidelines will be accepted in the manner they are intended - as a mechanism to keep the board full of lively and friendly debate. However anyone who goes out of their way to break the rules will be unceremoniously booted off.

Yes, but I haven't done that, I don't do it, I will not do it in future, so you do not have a case for me to be banned.

I keep myself within the rules thank you. As opposed to some other people on this forum.
