"Shoppers buying alcohol at the supermarket face a 'walk of shame' to a dedicated checkout counter.

The plan is being drawn up by ministers to curb Britain's growing binge-drinking culture.

Stores would have to create the 'alcohol-only' areas manned by specially-trained staff.

This would hopefully deter shoppers from making excessive purchases by putting them under the scrutiny of fellow customers." stpid stpid stpid

This Government is fecking Barmy if they think that is gonna' deter people buying crates of John Smiths at very reasonable prices from Supermarkets!!!!

So when I go to asda & get a case of Guinness & a case of Stella along with a couple of alcopops for the Missus I dont have to queue up behind people buying tins of beans & loaves of bread.
Gets my vote clappp

If I have to go to a seperate checkout every time I want to buy alcohol I'm just gonna buy even more of it to save making numerous visits for half a dozen bottles at a time. And once I've stocked up on loads I'll probably drink it quicker. Top idea from our loony left moronic rulers eh.

You could always get them to deliver it as part of their home delivery service. If you order more than £99 of wine at Tescos they deliver it free.

The "alcohol only" bit of the description makes me think that unless it is whisky bread then you go to seperate checkouts.

Like I said, it'll encourage people to buy more alcohol, not less.

What you'd have to do is organise a buddy along HUFC season ticket lines. Then you could buy his groceries while he queued for your beer

The only walk of shame i've ever done is on a sunday morning about 8am when the lass whose house you've dossed at kicks you out and you have to walk home in your Saturday night gear, everyone knows what a dirty dog you've been, and you see another lad and he's doing the same and you high 5.

Go along west view road about 9am on a sunday morning and you'll see a million lasses walking home in dresses carrying there shoes.

The door is open chaps. you can buy owt you want here for little cash, any time during the day or night, and you don't have to order a hundred quids worth. We've had deliveries woth approximately 30p, brought to the door in something like five minutes.

Give up before it's too late!!   clappp

I'm not sure...but as I say you could certainly get the buddy to pay for your booze while you fixed him up with a sliced wholemeal
