I'm losing the will to watch Pools away, same as last season. Yeovil and Swansea's new ground were first time visits for Pools last season - and any other time in my life I would have been there no matter what. I refused to go to watch the team playing as it did under Scott. I'm only now about 10% sure that I'll be at the match tomorrow. I'm right pi$$ed off with it all, Pools have eroded my football-supporting will-to-live to a critical level. This patient is on the life support machine at the moment, and may even start to look for something else to do on Saturday afternoon before much longer. I used to listen to people telling me how they used to support Pools home and away over years and years, but now don't go at all and haven't been for years. Now I know why. The enthusiasm of my youth has now gone, I don't need the weekly ritual of scorn-pouring from others and the general antagonism that takes place in the parmo household after each inept display.
Should I take a break and recharge my batteries and my appetite to watch Pools again?

No, get yourself to Accrington and stand up and be counted. There may come a day when the decision isn't yours and you'll never see Pools again. Make the most of it while you can.

Nicely moisturised thank you. A dab of post shave clinique this morning sorts me out for the day.

And will you be bringing your glowingly healthy chops to Notts County on the 5th?? And are we having pre-prandials somewhere in the good city?? Hooters is near their ground isn't it??

Hooters is almost opposite. It's move from the old station about a year ago. Can't get excited about the place myself mind you, not at nearly £4 a pint.

Plenty of alternatives thought.

I must admit sitting at Rochdale last week watching that rubbish was one of the first times i've ever thought "what the fook am I doing here" whilst watching Pools. Everything including the weather, the setting, the empty lifeless crowd, and mainly the quality of the game was totally depressing.

Those thoughts where only tempory though, i'm looking forward to Accrington tomorrow and three points (please!)

I've felt like that for quite some time Parmo......i just cant be arsed with it any more, whereas once upon a time i'd never miss a home game, and do the majority of away matches...i'm just fed up of all things Hartlepool United at the moment confised confised confised

As someone who has watched 4th division football for 30/33 years, i fully concur.

I always think we should win games, but we don't because that why we're in division 4.

God i hate this fookin league.

Me too....and after mixing it with the likes of Nottingham Forest, Barnsley, Oldham and Sheffield Wednesday for the last few seasons, this seasons fixture list just saddens me!!
Still, at least pools have spent a bit of time at a higher level!
We were eight minutes from the Championship you know, if it wasnt for that bloody referee blah blah blah

Rochdale has bonuses, it’s easy to reach on the train and it only costs me a tenna from Leeds. It has a nice stadium with loads of seats to chose from and it has a roof.

But then again, last time the weather was terrible, the 40 min walk home in the rain was even worse and the place doesn’t have anywhere half decent to eat apart from a MacDonalds and I was queuing in Gregs for ages.

Also, apart from the ground Accrington wasn’t too bad.

my favourite away day is Barnet. Drinking on the train from 0700 in the morning after an early greasy breakfast. Then a few drinks around Euston, maybe a few around Leicester Square, then on the Northern Line to Barnet and all the pubs on their High Street. Something for dinner in that big (Irish)? pub, and several more sherberts along the way to the ground. Then watch Pools hopefully win, tube back to Kings Cross and another few pints in the vicinity. Carry-out from the off door for the train journey back. Mini bus /taxi back to town and finish the night off down Church Street and a parmo for on the way home.
I've got it all planned out, don't you know?

Farnborough!!!!

This I know. I first went in about 1964 and the stuff I'm watching today is champagne football. We've been good, now we're bad, we'll get better. Only the spoiled and newcomers can moan about two wins on the trot in three days. We'll beat Wycombe on Saturday as well, we know all about Jermaine Easter.
