wonder what makes someone by-pass their local league team and travel out of town to pledge their loyalties to another outfit ... .... that will always be a mystery to me.

People need an incentive to come to watch Pools and that is up to the club to sell its self as an attractive alternative to football outside the town. You will always get the glory supporter who follows the top teams, but for most it is becoming to expensive hobbie to watch premier football games with the family. Its up to the club to attract the likes of these supportes. They employ staff to think up ideas, commercial etc to do this.

These are off the top of my head and lm sure people could add more ideas and better, but the club will not get involved with the supporters anymore. This is the problem they face trying to get supporters back to the ground because they have lost touch with the paying fan. Here are a few things that l think would generate a healthier gate and once they get more supporters, they spend more in the ground…Everyone’s a winner

Instalment payments on season tickets - Cost spread over the season to give a supporter more chance to purchase one. Start the payments close season or direct debit over the year.

Block season tickets – Jan to May - reduced part season ticket for the remainder of the home games.

Buy a season ticket and get the next one half price. This could raise the home gate considerable to encourage more couples, families to attend matches. Purchase a Childs season ticket and encourage the family to buy more for the kids with stage price reductions on each purchase.

Reduced pre – match tickets – Purchase your ticket in advance and the club reduce the price by 10% for example.

Have a loyalty voucher system for people who attend games on a regular basis – Collect so many vouchers will give you a reduction when making purchases in the club shop or purchase game tickets for example.

Club has an open day for charities three or four times a season so the players can attend to sign memorabilia. This would be purchased through the club shop on the day with all monies generated being put back in to pools. Also local charities are help through the towns club

The club to run coaches to away games with an rewards system to supporters for using them.

A closer bond between the club and the local community programmes. I cant remember the last time l saw a player being photographed in the mail doing this sort of thing. Its all good Public relations and raises the clubs profile to supporters who don’t attend. The only items in the local press to be covered are the negatives involving the fall out between club and press.

Come on Pools - pull your finger out because in sick of bouncing about these two division.... I know you read these site... Make something happen

you're sick of what is in essence a league 2 team playing 'well' in league 1?

Lets look at some of them,

Buy a season ticket get 2nd half price, this year was buy a season ticket get 2nd for £100, still didnt work and people thought it was a rip off.

Tickets bought and paid for during the season, not really viable. Someone buys tickets, stops direct debit has ticket club not got money. Yes ticket can be consficated but if not returned then club needs some way to ensure that ticket not used for a game. so unless we go to automated turnstyles so bar code (if on ticket) can be cancelled and ticket not used, it would mean every turnstyle operator having to check every number on every ticket to ensure it not then used. At times it takes long enough to get in now, how much time will that add. And it would have to be done. Possibly bringing out a season ticket for the following season in say January to March allowing for it to be paid over 7-9 months and still being paid for prior to the next season beginning may be an option.

Purchase a child's season ticket and get reduced prices for any extra child(ren) over 1. Pardon my ignorance here, as long time since I purchased a child's season ticket, BUT isn't that already the case.

I want the club to move on from divisions 1 & 2 . Not to keep going backwards and forwards..

The though behind the post was for a bit of positive idea’s. I pay at the gate and have no clue to what the club offer at this time but it is not working. Look at the gate, that’s the point.

To come back with a reply to some of the things lve thrown in, is a bit short sighted? I do pick up on the constructive points of the reply. Can we not add something more original idea's of our own. sctatchinghead

look at bradford top crowds in the division with good ideas for cheap season tickets to get them in.
mind you the best way to get crowds in is to win football matches, especially when you play well. doesn't matter what scheme you come up with the end product needs to be good.

Pools could give tickets away for nowt, or next to nowt, but the vast majority of bounders in the town wouldn't watch us

They don't deserve a club, they aren't interested in how we do, where we are in the league, who is playing for us etc, etc, etc

The are narrow minded bounders, bitter, twisted, who think the premiership is the dogs bollox, when in fact 90% of the matches in that league are cack

So, to sum up, they are bounders and IOR can't change this

to be fair its 2 quid to play five a side and its 18 to watch pools.

i know where muttley is coming from but i know a lot of lads that cant afford 2 home games in a week.

at least they have bought pools shirts and contributed to the club in that respect. the ones i hate are the ones in man utd and chelsea shirts etc.

i seen a fella in asda this afternoon in a liverpool top doing his grocery shopping. not only is he not going to games, he isnt even watching the fookers in a top of the table game when its live on sky.

tw@t.

I said exactly the same about a couple of scroats in manyoo tops the other week!! WTF is that all about? They are contributing to a corporate money making machine and they don't even watch it?? These are the people who are diluting the gene pool and replicating themselves, so that more and more termites will appear in future. It's all part of the premiershit's evil master plan. There needs to be "sterilisation" hit squads, a form of genuine football fan terrorist group if you like, to stop them reproducing.
Kidnap guilty party, restrain guilty party, couple of house bricks slammed together in guilty party's nads, fuc-k off sharpish, job done.

What are Bradford doing that the club could take on board and use?
