I bought a bike in May, a VFR800 06 plate and paid 5000 for it. Just sold it for 4900. I haven't spent anything on maintenance in that time and just to sell it at this time of year I think I've done very well.

Next up is back to R1's or possibly a GSXR750 when the winters over. VFR's a nice but too 'nice'. I prefer a bit of adrenalin rush. I found it a bit too bland. It struggles to get over 150mph and off the line its quick but nothing spectacular.

I have my own heroes, a great friend Ian Metcalf, killed by the IRA in 1988 just after doing my clearence certificate being one of them, top man 'Silver'
