Which I am entitled to do. Two weeks ago I called for Wilson to go. Now I want him to stay BUT be backed with resources to improve the squad and in particular, the defence.

I'd be interested to hear Fetish Bob's thoughts.

I was tempted to ask him what he thought about the first half, as we came out tonight, but he would probably have thought, who the fook are you rolfl

He needs to sort out the defence, everyone including a blind man and his dog can see that.

I have backed Wilson to the hilt, at the moment although, I believe we need to stick with him the jury is out slightly. Wilson believes we will give someone a good hiding soon, Looking at the defence the same can be said in reverse some team will hammer us pretty soon.

The only reason I would sack him now would be if a replacement was ready to move in to the manger's seat the next day, I dont believe their is any one available to do that.

I also dont believe all the defence problems are Wilson's fault our assistant manager/ reserve team manager is a former defender, surely he should be having a greater say in the defence training on a day to day basis. So just maybe the faults at the back are his fault.

Anyway Obefemi mate their's my thoughts. Though it is late and I not been in long, they may change when I wake in the morning and realise what i typed. Probably not but just maybe.

If we got some signs that he can see the problem areas then maybe we wouldnt want him out so much. Even just a failed loan bid for a full back or keeper being leaked to the press. At least we know he is aware of the problem. Yeah he maybe trying to sign people in these positions and we dont know about it. But with all his contacts I dont see why even an average full back cant be brought in and a half competent keeper.

Last time I heard him mention the defence was praising the keeper and saying the defence will come good stpid

I'm convinced that Nelson, Collins and Clark are quality centre backs but I believe that they are trying to cover for weaknesses in the defensive unit that is causing them to look stupid.

I'm not convinced that ALB or Budtz are of the same standard nor, and this is no suprise to anyone, am I convinced that Humphreys is up to the job.

Sweeney is filling in pretty well it seems. Yes he's a midfielder just like the other side but he's got a lot more pace that our left back midfielder.

I'd play Matty Robson at left back and stick with Sweeney. Until that is we sign a proper pair of full backs at which point we've got a chance of salvaging this season. I know Matty ain't a great full back either but he's at least as good in that position as the alternative with the addition of a bit of pace. Oh, and maybe he's learned a few things since he was last given a run in the team. Long term we definitely need to sign a permanent one but for now, to my mind Robson is the best option.

Im starting to have serious doubts about nelson tbh. I know he made a good challenge in the box last night (before anyone uses this solitary example as a reason to disagree with my post) but he is getting worse.

Did anyone else see that attempted cross he made in latter stages of the first half, it was embarrassing. Yes, I know he is a centre half but he is a pro footballer for crying out loud. It was worse than what you would witness of grayfields on a sunday morning. What happened to the promising player who scored that 35 yarder at peterborough??

I would drop him and put liddle and collins at the back, keeping clark as a holding midfielder (where he was outstanding yesterday)

I still don't think he's good enough.

For long periods of the match too many of our players wandered around as though they didn't give a fk while the rest tried to carry them.

He has no idea how to get the team to defend.

We got lucky cos Huddersfield were bloody rubbish.
