Has anyone else got this game yet?

I got it for the 360 the other day and I must admit it is fantastic. I have always been a fan of the PES series but it had stuggled a bit of later imo. This game though is back to its best.

Absolutely brilliant.

Oh, and anyone saying that fifa is better is gay.

I used to like footie games when I was a kid.

Is it like "Match Day"?

pro evo has been the top dog for about 10 years now, people just buy fifa cos it has rooney on the box and the proper kits, durgh gays!

do you still have the master like on pro evo?

Love playing that, you have to really earn your salt with that, getting goals out of castillo, marinda, matt, burchet, njorde etc is not easy.

Then when u do get a couple of wins and some cash you just have to buy fast players to get u out the rubbish till u can afford the good ones.

Ahhh good times.

What was that game called where you had the oversized plastic players and a big green mat to position them on, and to make them kick the ball you pushed their head down and the ball would go absolutely anywhere?

Always think of that game when I see Nelson clearing a ball, just can't remember it's name.

and Super Striker had diving goalies. I only ever seen one brilliant kick intop the top corner, which was brilliantly "dive-saved"
Other than that everyone I knew was rubbish at that game!!!!

Raving Bonkers and Crossfire were good though!!! :coool:

Bought PES every year since The old ISS on PS1 up until this year.
What a load of cack this year and last years are.
Online doesn't work properly and the improvements since PES6 are very little.
First year I've bought a FIFA since FIFA98 and I'm impressed.
10vs10 online is class and Pools are pretty accurate.

My mates love the 'be a player' feature.

Is it all it's cracked up to be?

Become a legend part you mean? yeh its good but can be a bit annoying, like for all the runs that i make they never pass me the ball unless there is literally no one stood within about 30 yards of me. But saying that you have to persist, i turnd pro at sunderland, htey wudnt put me anywere near their first team, was constantly playing reserves, even after scoring 6 goals in 4 reserve games. So in the first negotiations period i was offered the chance to play for west brom, so i took it and am on the bench every week.

I've played pro evo and fifa this year, they're very similar. Last year PES was awful and fifa pissed allover it. This year Pro evo is better but seems to be more arcadey than fifa (completely going against the norm for the two games).

I think FIFA just edges it this year, the players feel like they have a bit of weight to them and it's slower paced, requiring a lot of build up play. The "become a legend" mode in pro evo is taken from fifa's own version which IMO is a lot better due to the AI in the game noticing where you are and playing the ball into your runs. FIFA also has 10v10 online play, each person controls one player and you play as a team...great fun.

Horses for courses really, before last year I was all for pro evo but the last 2 years i've been converted to fifa. It used to be all about the licensed players and arcadey gameplay but EA have got their act together finally.

Exactly.
With PES, they've overused the "If it ain't broke..." rule imo.

rage

Just played guy ranked 26th and was 3-1 up in the 87th minute when a goal keeping error that ALB would be proud of, let him back in and he equalised in the 90th. Lost in extra time banghead
