Why should he? He's the manager, it's his decision who to play & who to sub - and not the fans.

Fans wouldn't take any of the blame if he did what we wanted him to do, and it didn't work.

Seeing as Matty Robson did well when he came on, I presume all those at the game yesterday applauded Wilson for bringing him on - after all, the fans are football experts & tactical geniuses...

He should care because without the fans there wouldn't be a club... and even if he doesn't care it doesn't look great or do him any favours if he broadcasts that to everyone does it?

What exactly did he say on the radio like?

wtf did he expect? He got lucky yesterday. The prospect of another seemingly inevitable away defeat was just too much for everybody yesterday - and if anybody doesn't understand THAT, then it is THEY who are not fans of HUFC (see how those people like it when it's levelled at them)

Parmo mate, you have stated 'he got lucky' at least 15 times in the last 15 hours!

we were 2-0 down and won 3-2, we have proved we are one of the better teams in this division for scoring goals, but are one of the worst for conceeding them. So we are halfway there, no?

Wilson has stated that we can't keep on defending like that, which to me suggests he is not happy with the defence and i do expect us to sign 1 or 2 players in the 'problem' positions in the next 2 month.

we started this season like a house on fire, then the defensive problems reared their ugly head. If we can sort them out we will be good enough for a top half finish, which is an improvement on last season.

there are several people on here completely kicking off because we won sctatchinghead

and several of these people want Neale Cooper back who towards the end of his reign was responsible for results such as the 4-6 home embarrasment against an average Wrexham team sctatchinghead

i completely agree that we need to sort things out at the back soon, but i think everybody needs to calm down a wee bit too. we have 2 home games coming up, 6 points could do us the world of good

what's the betting we'll have to score six goals to get six points?
I hope he does indeed sort out the entire defence, because for me the centre halves are just as poor as the full back positions.
If he doesn't do this, we'll eventually pay the price because we simply can't keep expecting the team to have to dig themselves out of a hole week after week - it just won't continue.
It's a sure sign of a malaise throughout the club when they repeatedly fall behind so early and so easily - what is the cause of it and why is it happening repeatedly?

Wilson made an obvious change of taking monkhouse off (who has been playing pathetic), maybe the lads were trying to look to porter too much, so he broguth foley on knowing he wudn't get a touch. I don't know, but Walsall's mentality of being in the comfort zone lost them the game, they did the same last season. As soon as boland's back, drop one of those donkeys at the back and stick clarky in there.

ElvisAintDead is correct as l to listen to his comments and he said the supporters do not know the information that he knows at that time. He praised both players he took off and explained in detail why he made the substitutions. He said he has no control over the supporter’s reaction to his substitutions.

We have all been in that situation and questioned the manager’s call when we are down. But you’d have to say he got it spot on yesterday and pulled the game back. He is the one that will pay with his job at the end of the day, by what is happening on the pitch.

I think the problem we have in the low crowds and reaction from members yesterday on the board. Your normal Pools fan has had enough and in our hearts we know the club has no ambition to move forward. It is for all to see on the terraces and the knee jerk reaction on the board when we look like we are loosing again.

All that is going to happen is we are going to keep loosing supporters at the home games if thing do not change and the club will keep to the siege mentality of old. Yesterdays result could be the spring board to kick start the season, but in my heart l can’t see it. Moan over

Don't forget that trouncing at home to Walsall.
People seem to forget these quite easily.
And wasn't Cooper in charge of the 3/4-0 Hammering we got off Blackpool too?

It's easy to forget when there was exciting footy to compensate... we all know he's never coming back, but he gave me a lot of happy memories, his first match at Peterborough, Grimsby, Luton at home ... he also knew how to get the fans to feel involved.

the last 10 times ive been to watch pools play away from home they have lost.

in those 10 games we only really ever looked like winning once.

in all of those games we defended like cowboys.

at the end of all of those games it was just the same handful of players coming over to acknowledge the fans at the end of the game. i cant ever recall wilson doing it even when we have won games.

when you are like me and earning 11 grand a year, going to an away game is a huge commitment in terms of time and finance. ive been going away with pools for over 30 years so im not a glory supporter by any means.

i doubt there are more than 100 people on the planet of this earth who have seen hartlepool playing away as a fan more times than i have, and in the majority of those 250+ away games ive been to pools have lost.

if i wanted to watch a winning side id support man utd or chelsea.

the point im making is that the losing we are used to. its when the team shows a complete lack of interest or professionalism that as fans we get hacked off. read the reports from everyone who went yesterday or last week. they all have the same things in common. the disgust at the amateur defending costing us goals and the lack of interest shown by kyle.

all i want from a pools team away from home is for the players to be organised, competitive and enthusiastic and at the end of the game show some acknowledgement of the travelling support who have trekked their at their own expense to watch them.

from the manager i want the side to look as though they know what they are doing and for him to show a modicum of tactical nous. some appreciation of the fans would be a bonus.

The other thing about Cooper, that a lot of fans remember, is that we felt he had a genuine love for the team, something I have never felt that Wilson has. Talking to Neale, before a pre season friendly up at Berwick, I felt he really was interested in what it was like to be a fan of our 'little' team, he understood our passion, and showed it himself on the touchline.

I was talking about this the other day and no game highlights Coopers passion and why he was loved by Pools fans more than the Bristol City play-off game at Ashton Gate. Do you remember how he joined the team huddle on the pitch with all of his staff before kick off? I also don't think I've seen a manager go as mental as he did when Sweeney scored, his head looked like it was going explode!!

Win, lose, or draw Danny just leans on the dug out or sits down in the dug out confised

When I read this first message there wasn't one doubt in my mind that Dibble had put his own little twist on Wilson's comments!

Mind you it was reported in some sections of the radio and media that the Wetherby whailer was closed on Saturday due to a thin batter for the fish but this was found to be untrue by the over weight poolies on the way home from Walsall. bbolt

He did say "I'm not bothered" when Ivan Ash asked him about the booing on the substitutions but surely in his position he has to have thick skin? I think that's all he meant. He didn't say "I don't care what the travelling fans think". You can't really blame him when he sees banners behind the goal calling for his head using fooking ridiculous words like 'mafia' (what's that all about by the way!?) he's human. He then went on and explained why he made the substitutions.
