My main Gripe at the moment

Lollipop people that stand at traffic lights and help people cross the road WHEN THE GREEN MAN IS ON! what is the point of that, as if anyone needs help crossing the road when the green man is on, everyone doesnt need help to push the button to make the green man come on! AAARRRGGGGH what a waste of money as theyll be getting paid for it! none of em are even brave enough to go into the middle of the road when the green man even comes on! the poeple cross the road first nd then they walk out arms stretched out!! Its just daft!

anyhoo, im goin 2-1 pools today, come on boys!!

I think they do a great job but some of them could do with a bit more intelligence.
Like letting the kids across in bunches of 5 or 6 instead of stopping the traffic every time a single kid turns up. It's not as though they can't see others arriving close behind.

A friend of ours, who is a 'Lollipop' Lady, once told us they are not supposed to stop traffic for adults. They should only do it if a child is waiting to cross.

Because a high percentage of them may be kids who, as most of us know, might not bother pressing the button and run straight out

If you are worried about the waste of taxpayers money, why not look at the ongoing 'war on terror', or millions spent on IT contracts with 3rd party companies, or QUANGO's set up by this and other movements, you do know what a QUANGO is???
