For me the killer touch is that although the song was part of a skit, the song itself stands up on its own merits and even with a comedian singing it, it still kicks seven kinds of shiit out of anything Leon Jackson can do.

A sex-op character called Geraldine (formerly Gerald) won first place in the talent contest in a skit by Peter Kay on the X-factor and similar programmes.
Geraldine's song, "The Winners Song" has been released as a single.
Leon Jackson was the winner of last year's X-factor and is notable for not being able to sing. He has also just brought out a new record.

The spoof (which is just an ordinary song, no comic lyrics or anything) is proving more popular than the real thing. Primarily because it's better!
