'"Sometimes your movement is enough to beat teams and other times you need a bit of strength up there as well and Kyle has offered us that."

Fair enough and a good point.

But I take that as meaning "sometimes starting Joel and Brownie upfront will be enough to beat teams but other times we need a big man like Kyle"

So does this mean that Danny is going to be rotating the front three?

I very much doubt it and I still expect Wilson to persist with Kyle regardless of how well he is playing.

Danny knows that Brownie and Joel is the way forward but I think the guy is that stubborn that now Kyle is on the books, he will be playing every game.

I don't think I have ever be as frustrated by a signing as I have with Kevin Kyle, it's not the lads fault; it's Wilsons

I bet there is something in the loan agreement saying Coventry will pay the vast percentage of Kyle's wages as long as he plays every game.

Like Liverpool had with Antwi.

Which was a complete fck up last season so would be proof that Danny boy never will learn.

Is it a coincidence that Porter has got 9 out of 10 for the last 2 games that Kyle also played?

It is possible that by keeping the big goons at the back occupied Kyle is allowing Porter to flourish.

Did Joel really deserve a 9 in the Swindon game though?

No. I am one of Joel's biggest fans but lets get this into perspective.

He did well for the last half hour and scored one very good goal, a tap-in and a sh*t free kick but I don't think we can use Kevin Kyle's signing as an argument for how it's bringing the best out of Joel Porter.

joel didnt score at northampton, nor did he look like scoring.

he got man of the match simply because he was doing the work of 2 men.

how kyle didnt get subbed in that game beggars belief.

he(kyle) may well come good, and obviously i hope he does. but last friday night he looked patently unfit and in the second half uninterested. i have a wretched feeling we are being used to get him fit for another club.

we havent won a game since the brown/porter front pairing was dismantled and we have started with kyle/barker up front or porter up front on his own.

the stats are p 5 w0 d1 l4.

so its gone well so far.

Anyone in their right mind wouldn't have split Joel and Brownie up. If he'd kept them together and played them every week I reckon they'd have got 45-50 goals comfortably between them this season. Instead, he brings in someone who has scored about 20 goals in his whole career who is probably on twice as much money as the two of them put together.

Half of Wilson's signings frustrate me, if they're not doing the business he'll still play them. He spent all of last season refusing to play Porter so he could persist in other players who weren't peforming as well as him. Porter has shown why Wilson was wrong.

He insisted in playing Butdz in net.

He played Elliott for too many matches even though he's the lazyest player to ever wear a Hartlepool shirt.

Being stubborn is Wilsons downfall and sometimes I think he does it to wind us up. Like at Northampton away last season when we were gash going forward and we were all chanting for Joel Porter and he brought him on in the 87th minute. There was no use in doing that so late, he did it to wind us up.

taking humps and monky off last week when they were playing well and leaving kyle on when he was having a stinker and was absolutely knackered cost us any chance of getting a point from the game.

presumably wilsons thinking was that if he left kyle on he may scramble a goal and justify his signing whereas if he took him off after an hour it would make his signing look questionable.

as there were only 245 pools fans there wilson presumably thinks bigging kyle up in the paper this week will fool the other 4500 pools fans into thinking he played well. notwithstanding the fact that the regions 3 newspapers all made kyle the worst player on the field.

as usual the manager puts himself ahead of the team.

Danny Wilson is a load of man wee

Agree with Tax, probabaly the worst hat trick iv ever seen if there is such a thing  He scored one good goal and got a tap in and a scuffed shot. I wish it happened every week but he didnt play well.
