I was impressed by misterb's analysis. A very refreshing change from some of the supposedly banned (as pointed out by Mr Obsession) personal abuse (bullying perhaps?) in this thread, which has made me wonder whether it's worth continuing to come to this site.

What type of message board do we want this to be? I vote for the type of discussion illustrated in misterb's post.

Keep coming Mr Canard please and excuse the lapses in moderation. It's often difficult to know when to step in.

I'm tying to be tactful here but it's an uphill struggle. Just stop, now, please. Thank you.

I don't care, but if you look carefully you'll find the post count has mysteriously gone down in this thread. That's power for ya.

Christ, at least 1 a game is his fault. At what point does this become a problem?

Seems like were suddenly happy that our keeper is at fault for at least 1 goal a game?

my feelings on the goalkeeping situation have been heavily articulated. a strong back 5 is essential.

i would send kyle back to coventry tomorrow and swap him for the big greek fella because st present i think we have more of a problem a problem keeping clean sheets than we have in scoring goals.

then i would drop mcunnie and play liddle at right back.

then i would drop collins or nelson and bring ben clark back in.

agree with most of that, but with regards to the keeper, we have to get rid before we can bring someone in, i bet you a fiver Wilson has been on the phone regularly trying to offload Butdz, obviously without sucess.

he comes across as a ruthless manager when it comes to buying/selling, just ask barron, effion, or barker. He is hardly going to be happy with the defense or keeper lately, but like all good managers (in my opinion) he will defend them in public.

Ferguson, Mourinho etc used to defend their players even when it was ridiculous to and the same applies to Wilson.

I think Wilson has the basics to be a VERY good manager, but he spoils it by tinkering and lacking that bit of charisma and not putting his foot up peoples arses occasionally.

OK all this bollocks of wilson in out or whether he is shaking it all about. I believe he knows he has limited resources to work with. I think the midfield and forward line is spot on. When Boland is back up to match fitness we will see a lot more hard work from Liddle and co. once competition for places is there. This all stems down to them slipping into the comfort zone. They do this as they know there is fcuk all on the bench or in the ressies. So do we need the board to give money to buy? Does Wilson go out and get loan players? We should be looking at teh fringe players of defenders in teh championship and premier league. Not youth from Prem (Antwi)!!!!!

The defence is the most vital places we need to strengthen. Ben Clark is hopefully near full fitness again, so that in turn will perk collins and nelson up. but 2 full backs are essential as a matter of urgency. keeper if we can get one otherwise i would leave alone.

the problems Danny Wilson has is the bench is so fcuking weak. Foley, McKie, Robson. if thats what we have to fall back on then yes we will start to struggle

The bench is as 'weak' as the one CT & Cooper had
Wilson won't play Big Ben unless his life depended on it

if there is no place in the team at all for Clark on Friday, then that has to be enough reason to bullet him............................Image

The only reason I renewed my season ticket this year was because of the promotion on offer. I was completely sick of the football being served up last season, home and away, and was going to pick and choose my matches. Anyway, I got my ticket for effectively £9 per game and am absolutely over the moon.

The entertainment value is superb this season and I am going away happy despite the odd poor result.

Statistics show Danny Wilson to be one of the greatest managers this club has ever had.

The club is in the best over all state it has ever been in and when you look around at many, many other clubs, we can only count our blessings.

Happy Days!

Serious question... would you rather have good entertainment and scrape lucky draws against shite sides or have less entertainment and win 1-0?

If we play GOOD entertaining football, we will win more than we lose of draw over the course of the season.

We scraped a few spawny results last season and the football in general was boring. This season its exciting, we've seen plenty of goals and you just never know how a game is going to go.

I can remember being at Lincoln years ago in the John Beck days, they hated the football they were playing even though they were top of the league!!!

Roll on friday

was that when they did the air raid siren thing whenever they got a corner?
Even to this day, both Cambridge and Lincoln are still thought of as terrible teams to watch because of Beck - with 11 rugby players masquerading as footballers, elbowing, pulling, tripping, and kicking lumps out of people, always a bouncing ball being constantly kept bouncing (no attempt to control it or allow the opponent time to attempt to control it - just keep the thing bouncing in the general direction of the other team's goal) or else the ball was 40 feet in the air.
Even Pools have never resorted to such play, even when we were really shite.

That's not the right answer, Ripper.

Exactly what I meant a few days ago about abuse being allowed against some people and not others. Mr Kent is only 18 years old, for heaven's sake, quite apart from the general principle

Is it the apostrophe? I generally know where to put them but they can be tricky little blighters sometimes.
