Good luck to him, he is one of very few promotion winning managers for HUFC after all.

How many times have we had this debate since we won promotion five years ago?

Grimsby in the Cup, anyone?

I'm surprised anyone has touched him with a barge pole.

I suppose it was only ever likely to be Grimsby, Spurs, or Newcastle

Good lu.. no sorry I can't do that.

One of the weirdest days of my life:

http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/eng_div_3/2942383.stm

Mind you I blame Rushden for beating us to the title, we didn't lose it, maybe they won it.

Great season spoiled by the disappointment of a crushing defeat on Promotion Day and then having to watch anothere team lift the trophy at their own gaffe. Horrible. sadx

I wonder whether we will ever be able to move on from the events of 2003.

Maybe if we won the Eurovision Song Competition it would take our minds off it?

Well I was talking about the football, like.

I'm glad Rotherham have passed "nul points".

We finished runners-up but lost the title at Rushden on Saturday 3rd May 2003, then the UK got "nul points" on Saturday 24th May 2003.
It's no wonder I could have felt suicidal, you know. confised

That's all we've learnt so far since I started term.

Your welcome PoK, now onto this Mike (thecoont) Newell, can I just say that I hate Newell and I also hate Grimsby with all the smug fans. Here's hoping they go down along with Luton.

Comments like this on the fishy website:
http://www.thefishy.co.uk/cgi-bin/forum ... 223277658/

Wasnt Newell manager at Hartlepool? Im sure comming here is a far more attractive proposition than taking charge of the monkey hangers? After all we are a bigger club.

Well Mr fishyfan your not big anymore (not sure if you ever were), did the 8 - 1 battering hurt that much?..,.

Grimsby fans belittling Pools..........FFS. As unhappy as we are with our defence, there's no way I would want a single player at their fishy club to come here!!!!

That's awful considering they were 1st division then slid down.

they slid down because they were one of the clubs guilty of living beyond their fishy means.
