It smells of jobs for the boys to me.

He has had to resign twice from the government for UNPROVEN charges of corruption. Once unlucky, twice people think.

In April 2005, The Times revealed that Mandelson had spent New Year's Eve 2004 on the yacht of Paul Allen, the co-founder of Microsoft, which is at the centre of a major EU investigation, although it did not allege impropriety

Now even though the Times didn't allege impropriety , it makes people think even more. And it also makes people think once unlucky, twice he's been stupid, three times the mud sticks.

Thought he was at daggers drawn with Brown anyway.

Absolutely wonderful news - a Poolie's in Government again !

He'll bring a lot of experience to the table.

Excellent decision by Brown.

Well you made three bolox points, so in answer, seeing as though you are requiring detail

1) He's not a Poolie
2) His main experience of tables is probably fking young Brazillian boys on them
3) Brown is an arsehole incapable of making excellent decisions on any level

Its common knowledge that Gordon Brown does not like or get on with Peter Mandelson but Gordon knows he is up against it and he wants to stay in power. Say what you like about Mandy but he is a shrewd politician and the Tories won't be pleased to see him back.

The Tory press have always targeted Mandelson because they know the influence that he has - they don't mention the scores of Tory politicians that do exactly the same sort of thing as Mandelson was accused of, and probably do a lot worse.

Excuse me but was he not the Member of Parliament for Hartlepool from 1992 to 2004 - that's 12 years he spent representing the views of the people of Hartlepool.

Also correct me if I am wrong but isn't he the current Club President of a professional football club that I know well and love dearly.....called, er...Hartlepool United Football Club.

I thought that the definition of
poolie n. was
1) A person born and/or whom lives in the town of Hartlepool in the English administartive county of Cleveland in the North-East of England in the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.
and/or
2) A supporter of Hartlepool United Football Club, the main professional association football Club in the town of Hartlepool, as mentioned above.

If the above definition is anything to go by, what more has a bloke got to do to call himself a Poolie, along with the fact that he doewsn't just support Pools, he is pretty big in the Club.

Hey, I tell you what though, I've just seen the footage of him outside No. 10, his suit tie was covered up by a jumper, but I think he was wearing his Pools tie !

Is that your definition or did you actually find it written down somewhere and then copy and paste it?
