At least after a few poor performances you can be guaranteed a laugh on here reading the posts from the comedians.
Mr Chip you are the Tommy Cooper of the board, that post about saying Brown did nothing wrong when he missed that absolute sitter that would have changed the whole course of the game, priceless rolfl rolfl rolfl

Whoops sorry Mr Chip, this is the post I wrongly thought you were trying to defend Brown, and saying he did nothing wrong!
I see it now, you clearly say he was at fault and should have scored

Is this the "sitter" in the 1st half where (at least from where I was standing) their keeper pulled off a world class save?

You crack me up you do rolfl

It's funny how most of your posts are exactly how I see things but then your bias towards those you just won't criticise lets you down, Just be consistant in your criticism and praise Mr Chip, it's not too much to ask is it, I wonder if the description would have been the same if Barker, Mcunnie, Humps or Foley had missed this extremely difficult opportunity sctatchinghead

So if we had equalised then do you still think it would have been a 3-3 draw?

Oh and while we're at it I do think it's the managers fault, whilst every player can be improved upon, with what we've got and the way we started the season there is no need to change from 4-4-2 whether at home or away, because the team that started the season were just starting to look comfortable and are more than a match for most teams in this division, but we are now in a similar position to last season i.e. lack of confidence and with players playing out of position.

Mccunnie missed an even easier c hance in my opinion but decided to pass from 3 yards out. sctatchinghead

Mr Chip this is how you described it..........
"porter whipped the ball across the face of the goal. brown was arriving at speed, the ball was at least 6 inches off the ground and still rising when brown made contact.

its actually not difficult to put the ball over the bar in that scenario as your momentum and the balls trajectory will naturally force the ball upwards especially if you are stretching to get it."

FFS
Torres and Ronaldho would be shiitiing it waiting for this opportunity, it sounds difficult to me reading that, in fact nigh on impossible, I just thought he should have scored that's all, don't beat youself up over it Mr Chip, it's just a play on words, you should know that you're a master at it clappp clappp

i stand by what i said. brown was a bit unlucky ( note i said a bit, not remarkably or extremely ) imho in that he made a good contact and hit the target.

the keeper has instinctively stuck out a hand and somehow kept it out.

as i also said on another day the ball would have ended up in the net. he probably could have done better but to me it was a very good save.

at no point whatsoever did i say brown did nothing wrong.

to suggest he missed a sitter that changed the course of the match is an exaggeration.

had the ball been coming to him along the ground 6 yards out at no speed with the keeper nowhere to be seen and he had put it wide fair enough.

but to suggest it was a shocking miss that cost us the game is rather deflecting blame from those who probably deserve it i.e the manager and the defence.

You've missed a little bit off that description Chip.

Humphries played a sublime curling pass down the left wing, which came close to going out, but with the linesman keeping a close eye on it, it dropped on to the line of Joel's run, and in flowing movement Porter took control of the ball and whipped the ball across the face of the goal........

Funny that....it seemed it was only you and your ilk that was full of confidence last season....and like the majority on here were saying but getting shot down by you....the team was also lacking confidence!!!! confised confised

Just thought I'd point that out!!!! :coool:  :coool:

Gissa clue who this target is sctatchinghead
All I've been trying to do is point out to my mate Mr Chip that you can't just single out the mistakes from the players you most like to make them, and then start slagging them off, and then suddenly ignore mistakes by others. And that one from Brown was a glaring miss and it would have changed the game, he should have scored, he didn't, it was a mistake, big deal, he didn't mean to, but sorry I can't remember slagging him off.
