Chip, fitting second hand consumables and stuff like water pipes is asking for trouble. Get yourself to a motor factors.

Partco - Avenue Road. (If its still there). Much cheaper than a genuine Vauxhall part & as Mr I says for parts like that it's not worth going to a scrapyard.

i did that with a washer we had,the rubber round the door got a hole in it i just fixed it with a puncture outfit not expecting it to work it lasted for a couple of years,then the washer knacked up

you can buy that hose from any motor factors no need to go to the dealers who would order it in and charge you a fortune for it.
try partco or advanced in burn road or chequered flag in elwick road.
should be only a couple of quid

aye next to nowt - take the damaged one in and they'll match like for like with enough change from a fiver for one of them tree air fresheners

Don't forget to replace the jubilee clips, the old ones will probably be corroded.
