And watching SCD - its better to watch.

An average display where no one stood out with Monkhouse, ALB and Nelson showing a bit more than the rest. It was one of those games that was all in midfield.

The goal was down to one player wearing a big red nose and oversized shoes then proceeded to give away the winning goal. I'll leave you to guess which player was wearing coco's boots. (Clue: left back)

Onto brighter things: the salsa routine was fantastic for a first time out. I know people who have been dancing this for literally years who are no so good. Well done lass! (The black girl, Heather)

As for the Merengue.......... give me a break, that was the sort of thing tourists learn on a package holiday and it bore no resemblance to any merengue I've ever seen.

Just back too, agree that we did quite well overall. Leicester were nowhere near as good as I was expecting after reading about the Paint trophy game. We could easily have got something from the game with a little bit of luck or extra quality.

ALB did well although he could do with being more vocal, so could most of the rest of the team. I thought both full backs had pretty poor games, especially McCunnie. Porter had one of those days that had my blood boiling, I was glad when he went off as I already had a sore throat from shouting at him by then. He was either injured, very unfit or could not give a fcuk, I hope it's the first option.

There was a good turnout of Poolies and plenty of noise from both sets of fans, fair play to the Leicester fans - not many teams home fans make that much noise these days.

we didnt really look like scoring.....too many average perfromances with some poor ones in.....no 1 had a good game really....no final quality at all.....Nelson was still caught out a lot but was much better than Collins.....ALB kicks wer shockin in the second half.....never went to any1 and nearly embaressed himself when clearing straight into Fryatts back

for once we looked "reasonably" solid at the back and in the middle it was a fairly even battle, but it was a game of little skill overall and few chances. We didn't look threatening enough overall despite a few promising positions. Brown should really have scored when he cut across the 18 yard box but his shot wasn't well placed enough. He really should have picked a spot and stuck it high up, away from the outstretched legs. And yes that is a harsh criticism because we quite simply can't afford to miss chances like that, and it's cost us a point.

I'll go along with that. Even on the way down yesterday, I said that Swindon was a more important game in terms of being able to get something out of it. Yesterday woud have been a bonus, and in truth I was very disappointed with them given how they played up here in the JPT.
Their passing was off beam and went out for throw ins an amazing number of times.
My mate from Luton wasn't impressed by Leicester, he thought they'd be a lot better, and he said Pools should have taken more advantage of them having an "off day".
All in all, not as bad as we expected, but the chance WAS there to have done so much better.
We will never do anything at these big grounds will we?

Here's me thinking Leicesters only real threat was the left winger Dyer who had the freedom of Leicestershire even in the third minute. Porter and Sweeney got nearer to the lad and tackled him more than McCunnie did. He ran through unopposed on our right wing with nobody within 20 yards of him after less than 200 seconds of the game yet you blame Humphreys solely for the goal stpid sctatchinghead He could have scored himself without squaring it such was the freedom had.

But thats the FACTS. You cant let FACTS get in the way of apportioning blame.

Heres a fact: Humphreys had eons of time to clear it. He should have cleared it, he didn't and as a consequence they scored.

Incidentally, yes I was at the game and I find it interesting that people who were clear that it was him to blame at the time are a little reticient to put it in print.

he must have had slippers on, he should have cleared it not once, but twice!! Watch it again folks!!!!And yes McCunnie was hopeless - needs scattering because he can't play in midfield either!!!

The annoying part is that our midfield and attack can usually cope with anything in this league. 4-4-2 yesterday and we would have scored - we always score! All DW has to do is get two full backs on loan and we're in the play offs. If he won't do that then FFS play 5-3-2. Oh yes, one other point: STOP TALKING UP THE OPPOSITION!!!
